Sol Tropikal Durres

It is not a 4 star hotel. 3 at best. It is a bus journey away from resturants, bars etc. It is situated just off a busy road with nothing around it. The hotel rooms were spotless and cleaned daily. The staff are really helpful. We were all inclusive and found the food was almost always cold. We had to use the microwave constantly. The bar is in the reception area and there are no toilets there. You have to walk through the dark dining room to use the bathroom. It closes at 11pm and there is no facility to even buy a drink after the all inclusive has stoped. Any hotel we have ever been to have at least an hour of bar service when the all inclusive stops. We ate out a few times just to experience hot food. The entertainment is for french people. It was in another part of the complex and while there was a bar there it was not part of the all inclusive package. We were 3 couples so we made the best of it.

The beachfront location is one of its greatest strengths, providing beautiful views of the Adriatic Sea and easy access to the beach. I was particularly impressed by the professionalism and friendliness of the staff, who consistently demonstrated a strong commitment to guest satisfaction. The pool area, gardens, and common spaces were well maintained and created an ideal environment for relaxation. The food and beverage offering was varied and well presented, with enough options to satisfy different preferences. The overall quality of service reflected good operational management and attention to detail. Overall, Sol Tropikal Durres is an excellent choice for families, couples, and travelers seeking a relaxing beach holiday. I would gladly recommend this hotel and would be pleased to return in the future.

We have just returned from a wonderful stay in Albania and wanted to express our sincere thanks to all of the hotel staff for making our holiday so enjoyable. From the moment we arrived until the day we left, the service was outstanding. Every member of staff was friendly, professional, and always willing to help. A very special mention must go to Marlene, who was simply exceptional throughout our stay. She made a genuine personal effort to ensure we had everything we needed and always took the time to check in with us. Her knowledge, advice, and recommendations on local customs, places to visit, and the dos and don'ts of the area were invaluable and helped make our holiday even more enjoyable. Kevin was also excellent and provided great support whenever needed, but Marlene truly stood out for her dedication, warmth, and attention to detail. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and her friendly approach made us feel genuinely welcomed and valued as guests. Marlene is a real asset to the hotel and a perfect example of outstanding customer service. She played a huge part in making our stay such a memorable one. Thank you once again to Marlene, Kevin, and the entire team for a fantastic holiday. We would happily recommend the hotel to anyone visiting Albania and hope to return again in the future. I had an excellent time at the bar thanks to Geni and Renato.They were welcoming and attentive, making the evening truly enjoyable. Their teamwork and professionalism stood out, and I’d happily recommend the bar because of them. Atmosphere was amazing thanks to Geni.
