Well there were good and bad points to the hotel, but I am going to start with the positives. Amazing location and stunning views, we were going to be there for 10 nights so I emailed beforehand with a few requests. I asked for a high floor and we were on the 4th floor overlooking the swimming pools, we had paid extra for front sea facing rooms. It was something special when the cruise liners went by. My husband has terminal cancer and gets very hot with his treatment, but the air conditioning wasn't on as it is end of season. I called down and a huge fan was brought to us within 10 minutes (not a very happy person though!) I also asked for an anti-slip mat for the shower and the maid did this straight away. I loved the layout of the room, the privacy of the balcony, the shower was one of the best we have had in a hotel in recent years. The bed was very comfy and there were lots of lights and plug sockets. Reception were helpful whenever we asked about anything and there was free disabled parking right out front for us. When we went to settle our bill as we had an early start, they offered to contact the manager to see if we could have a packed breakfast which was thoughtful. There is a supermarket 2 mins from the hotel, where you could get bottled water etc. Wifi was super quick and the lifts appeared almost immediately when you pressed the button. The rooms and the whole hotel was very clean and tidy, there was a lot of attention to detail in this respect. Now a few unfortunate negatives. When I emailed the hotel I told them that we would be celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary whilst there and what the date was. This was not acknowledged at all by them, bearing in mind my husband's condition, things like this are very important to us. We did notice other people getting birthday cakes etc. . There were some stains on the bedroom curtains that looked unsavoury. There is only one bin which was in the bathroom which was a bit inconvenient. Yes there was a kettle in the room, but no tea, sugar or milk and my husband doesn't drink coffee, so we were having to pinch it from downstairs at breakfast. There was not a box of tissues in the room, but the toilet paper was good quality!! I would have thought for 4 star all inclusive we would get a bottle of water in the fridge but it was empty, just a jug to fill up with water from the machine in the corridor. We had been contacted by British Airways before travelling to ask if we wanted to change hotels as they had recently done an inspection. There were no signs in the pool area giving the depth of water, but this didn't bother us, so we stuck with it. No plug in sink for my husband to have a shave, and no flannels. There was some building work going on next door, but the noise was bad only on certain days. The main all inclusive bar is in the restaurant, so when the restaurant is closed you have to go outside to get round to it, which is fine as long as it isn't raining. Lager and wine is on tap, I like dry white, but it wasn't great, however the rose was lovely. My husband liked his evening whisky to take up the the room. They also have cocktails that I found a bit sickly, local vodka, gin and whisky. There was another bar in reception that was half price on drinks, however the Aperol Spritz at 50% discount was the same price as a local restaurant in the marina. The restaurant in the marina that we ate at a few times is called Noa and they do the most amazing tempura. However the main thing that let the hotel down was the food. There were a lot of French at the hotel, and it was geared more to their taste. Most of the announcements were in French as well. We have had all inclusive in Turkey, Cuba and Morocco to name a few, but this was probably the worst all inclusive food we have had. It was a shame as the staff in the restaurant work so hard and are lovely. There was a grill instead a proper toaster, and it just wasn't the same, just turned out soft toast. The bread is just covered up in between meals and not put away. Afternoon tea was an awful offering. A lot of the food was cold most of the time, there is a microwave, but you don't want to heat all your meals up. I asked for some freshly cooked chicken for us that was on the grill, they pointed at chicken that had been cooked to the side, but I insisted on fresh. You can only have ice cream at dinner time and this is served in a cone, no option to have it just in a bowl, it had to be served in a cone - very wasteful. The soups were very watery, but if they had vegetable stew and puree potato I could thicken them up and it was hot. The bacon was virtually raw, so one day I asked for it to be cooked more, it didn't make much difference. No baked beans, just their own version, however, my husband sort of got used to them by the end. He did appreciate the porridge and rice pudding though. The beef goulash was great, shame they didn't have that every day. TIP - One thing I would say is that we had a car from Dubrovnic Airport and the delay at the border is awful. However, we did some research and took the back roads via Igalo and had no traffic whatsoever, certainly made the journey back so much better.

We stayed at Carine Hotel Kumbor Superior for 8 days and absolutely loved our trip. Even though we had a storm in the middle of our holiday, it didn’t take away from the experience at all—in fact, once the weather improved, it made us appreciate everything even more. The food was really good and definitely better than other all-inclusive hotels we’ve stayed at. It’s not quite 5-star level, but for a 4-star hotel it’s genuinely impressive. We actually looked forward to dinner every day, which says a lot! Our room was incredible—we had a corner room with a sea view and a wraparound window, and it was just stunning to wake up to every morning. The rooms are clean, modern, and really nicely decorated, which made the whole stay feel extra comfortable and relaxing. The staff were also really friendly and welcoming throughout our stay, which always makes a big difference. A couple of things to note: the jacuzzi and spa are not included in the all-inclusive package, and you have to pay extra for a two-hour session. Also, drinks from the individual bars are not included—only drinks from the restaurant are covered. This was a bit surprising for an all-inclusive hotel, but honestly, it didn’t bother us too much. Overall, the experience of the hotel felt 5-star, and we had such a wonderful time. We would definitely recommend it and would happily return!
We had an absolutely incredible 5-day all-inclusive stay at Carine Hotel Kumbor, and it truly exceeded all our expectations. The hotel is beautiful ,breathtaking from the moment you arrive. The views, the design, and the overall atmosphere create a luxurious yet relaxing experience. The facilities are top-notch. Everything is modern, well-maintained, and spotless. The pools, private beach area, and leisure spaces are designed perfectly for both relaxation and enjoyment. There is something for everyone, whether you want to unwind or take part in activities. The food was outstanding. There was a wide variety of dishes every day, catering to different tastes, and everything was fresh and full of flavour. The presentation was excellent, and the all-inclusive package truly felt premium. There were plenty of options at every meal, so you were never short of choice. We celebrated a birthday during our stay, and the hotel staff went above and beyond to make it special. They arranged a beautifully prepared table for us and surprised us with a cake, which was such a thoughtful and kind gesture. It really made the celebration memorable and showed how much they care about their guests. In the evenings, there was live music and entertainment, which was simply epic. The atmosphere at night was vibrant yet elegant , the perfect way to end each day. The staff also arranged activities for us throughout our stay, and we thoroughly enjoyed every experience. Everything was organised professionally and made our holiday stress-free. The staff deserve special praise ,friendly, attentive, and always willing to help with a smile. Their hospitality and attention to detail truly elevate the experience to five-star level. Overall, our stay was luxurious, memorable, and absolutely worth it. We felt valued, relaxed, and well taken care of from start to finish. We would highly recommend this hotel and cannot wait to return.
Third time here. Always fantastic experience. The waiters, receptionist and the staff is amazing as always. The view, the food, the service, everything on high level.
