Splendido Bay Luxury Spa Resort

Our experience at Splendido Bay Luxury Resort has been shockingly poor. This hotel advertises itself as a five-star luxury property, but the service we have received has been closer to one star. From the moment we arrived, the welcome was cold and unfriendly. There was no warmth, enthusiasm, or genuine hospitality, and no one seemed remotely interested in showing us around the hotel or explaining the property. For a hotel claiming five-star status, the arrival experience was incredibly underwhelming. But the most disturbing issue came the following morning. We checked in in the evening and went directly to dinner, so we did not properly inspect the bathroom until the next morning. That is when we discovered what appeared to be fecal matter on the shower glass AND on the toilet. Absolutely disgusting and completely unacceptable at any hotel, let alone one positioning itself as a five-star luxury resort. When we raised the issue with the director, instead of immediately taking full responsibility, we were told that the room had been clean when we checked in. The implication that we were somehow responsible was insulting and frankly unbelievable. This is not how a luxury hotel should handle a serious cleanliness complaint. We were then inconvenienced further by having to pack everything up and move rooms in the middle of our stay. We are traveling with a baby and 6 pieces of luggage, so this was hardly a minor inconvenience. Yet there was no room upgrade and no meaningful gesture of compensation for the significant disruption and half-day of our vacation that was effectively lost dealing with something that should never have happened in the first place. The hotel claims to be “fully committed,” yet that certainly has not been reflected in the service. The property also hardly appears full — there are barely any guests outside or at breakfast — which makes the lack of flexibility, attentiveness, and effort even harder to understand. Based on our experience so far, I would absolutely not return and could not recommend this hotel to anyone expecting genuine five-star service.

Beautiful beautiful location on south end of Lake Garda with stunning views from its lovely park. Quiet and relaxing atmosphere. Prices are pretty steep as one might expect. Room was ok but nothing special. Superb breakfast with attentive lovely staff.

An excellent visit. Great location. Pleasant, well-equipped rooms. Courteous and friendly staff. Great, varied breakfast. Excellent pools that are convenient to use.

Our 4 days at the Splendido Hotel, we're indeed splendid. All the staff were great, friendly & professional, from the waiters & waitresses at Breakfast & dinner and the Bar staff, especially the head bar man, sorry can't remember his name but he was full of interesting facts about gin that kept us entertained. The restaurants were first class too, great food & great settings. Thank you Splendido for a lovely stay x

A really excellent hotel - the staff are all superb. The breakfast is to die for…lovely swimming pool too.
