Villa del Sogno

Stayed as a couple for 4 nights in mid Sept. Located in extensive grounds on a hill overlooking the lake Villa del Sogno is well positioned for exploring Garda. It's a 10-15 min walk along Via Zanardelli to the quay for ferries across the lake. Gardone itself is a similar timed walk involving a steepish climb up narrow lanes. We had a junior suite on the top (3rd) floor with small balcony giving a great view across the lake. The room was really quiet with plenty of room to walk around, and big by Italian standards. The staff in all areas were welcoming, friendly and very efficient, all speaking excellent English. Nothing was too much trouble. We ate in the restaurant and in the American Bar. Both were really good, the restaurant in particular.

This is probably the best hotel we have ever stayed at. Its absolutely superb and I couldn't recommend it any more

Love this hotel with pure luxury! The reception staff gave us a warm welcome and the concierge took us to our junior suite which was spotlessly clean and spacious with beautiful antique furniture and décor. The bathroom which had ample room was drenched in marble as well as being immaculate with a huge shower! The highlight of the suite was our choice of two private terraces, the best one overlooking the lake. We enjoyed having dinner in the fine dining restaurant each night with all staff who were so attentive, being silver- service trained, the food was scrumptious and the wine was delicious. The views of the lake at night with the lights of the surrounding villages was to die for! It made the experience so much more special. It was a lovely option to be able to iron your own clothes in the laundry room free of charge with the lovely ladies there to help if you required it. The poolside bar was relaxing and comfortable. I could not fault a single thing about this spectacular hotel and I have to say I didn’t have one complaint about it. We cannot wait to stay there again in the near future!

Absolutely outstanding experience at this beautiful hotel . Florin the maitre d made our meals memorable ! The Sri Lanka. Chef outdid himself with fabulous meals , breakfast , lunch & dinner were superlative Well appointed rooms , stunning vistas , amazing support from the front desk team ! This hotel was booked for us by an agency and, coming from Australia, we had no idea what to expect- our experience was exceptional. We stayed for 4 nights in a room overlooking the lake and the terrace and it was marvellous to wake each morning to a fabulous view. During our stay my husband celebrated his birthday and many members of staff took the time to extend their birthday wishes. During our stay we had breakfast each day, a couple of light dinners and drinks on the terrace. Service for each of these was excellent. The hotel is located in a beautiful parklike setting, making it wonderfully peaceful
