I booked a sea view room, but arrived to a gray wall directly outside my window and the busy road SS145 Sorrentina immediately below, with constant traffic and large buses honking, making the room especially restless at night. Only by leaning far out of the window could I catch a glimpse of the sea. The hotel called this a “partial sea view,” although this was nowhere indicated in my booking. The receptionist admitted they repeatedly have this issue with bookings, which makes it difficult to understand why the description has not been corrected. There was also no offer of an upgrade or even a small gesture to accommodate the disappointment. Without a car, you are isolated and dependent on the hotel shuttle, which has limited times throughout the day. A 10 minute taxi ride to Vico Equense costs around €25 to €30 each way. If you are looking forward to the advertised spa experience, expect an additional charge of €20 per hour per person. The hotel was converted from a former industrial site, and unfortunately that character is still noticeable. The exterior walls have darkened considerably and look gray and in need of fresh paint, while the entire interior feels dated. For a 4 star hotel, I genuinely wonder how this property received its 4 stars. The hotel advertises an “incomparable” view across the Gulf of Naples. Looking straight across the water, you can see Mount Vesuvius in the distance. However, looking to either side, the outlook is predominantly a wide, flat expanse of water, while towards Naples you also see developed and industrial areas along the coastline. If you are expecting the idyllic cliffside scenery associated with the Sorrento Coast, or something immediately recognizable as the dramatic landscape of this part of Italy, you may be disappointed. The lobby and bar area felt surprisingly loud and busy, with a television playing prominently rather than creating a calmer hotel atmosphere. The room itself was generally looked after, yet I still found several dark hairs in the bathroom that could not have belonged to me. The shower temperature control did not work properly, leaving the water extremely hot and making showering unpleasant. I had deliberately booked the hotel for a peaceful final night and spa experience by the sea before flying from Naples. Instead, I found the entire experience stressful and regretted not simply booking a cheaper hotel in Naples rather than having to travel from this secluded location to Naples Airport.

It felt like home This review is a must after spending another wonderful holiday with my husband, who came from Germany. A charming place and functional services. We found ourselves under the pool, where our lounger was always ready to welcome us. Thank you, Mr. Mario, who was helpful and kind. We spent evenings at both the bar and restaurant. Everything was fantastic. 10 out of 10. We'll be back next year, and I was so happy to be welcomed like this.

Wow - what a hotel!! Positioned between Castellmare De Stabia and Vico Equense, the hotel has the benefits of being close enough to enjoy the benefits of two towns but also feels far enough away that you are in your own bubble. A very interesting building, surrounded with probably one of the best views we have ever had at a hotel. The private beach and pool were immaculate and always had free towels and sunbeds (the beauty of a non All Inclusive) with the staff always friendly and ready to help. Remember to take beach shoes as it’s very rocky but the water is so clear and there are loads of fishes!! The pool is a perfect size with a waterfall and jacuzzi area - we all loved it. I was sceptical about the hotel food after reading reviews, however the Alfa restaurant was fab and the price was probably more competitive than outside of the hotel with pizza around 12-15€ and mains from 16€ (I had pasta and the family had pizza and it was amazing). It’s a shame you have to walk through the breakfast room to access as we didn’t realise the view nor the restaurant itself were so beautiful until the last few days. It was deserved of its own little zone. The rooms are a bit tired, but what we expected for the type of hotel and they were immaculately clean with a cleaner every day keeping towels changed and the room tidy (thank you). The reception were so helpful and friendly - make sure you add them to WhatsApp as they will book shuttles or taxis when you are out and about. I needed antibiotics whilst there and they were brilliant in arranging a doctor (100€ for a call out fyi), which u didn’t see in the end, but they helped me contact a pharmacy in Vico who were brilliant and got me the medication I needed. There are 3/4 pharmacies in each town so don’t fear being poorly! We walked to Castellmare one day - took about 40 mins (it was sooooo hot), but there are paths all the way. It is a busy road so if we had tiny kids I may have got a taxi instead. Our 12 and 15 year olds were fine! After 7:30pm the town was bustling and so much to see and do. Taxi back was arranged by the hotel at 25€. Vico Equense is fabulous and we got the shuttle every day (3€ each). The shuttle drops you at the train station which is easy to navigate to take you to Pompeii or Sorrento and only costs €2.80 each way per person. Remember to validate in the little yellow boxes if they don’t have the gates. We visited three restaurants in Vico - Terramare (amazing Calzone), Cerase (stunning views and beautiful fish dishes) and Titos (just fabulous food and service). All were similar pricing around 15-25€ per main meal. There’s a fab Gelataria in the centre of Vico!! Two supermarkets are on the road parallel to the main road into town - we picked up water and snacks from there. We heard about a burger van if you wanted a cheap eat. It’s a 5 min walk through the tunnel and along the road to Castellmare (very busy road so be careful). There were two vans and we chose the busiest where the Italians were getting their burgers. We had to wait 90 mins for average burgers so deffo follow the advice of others and go to El Gordo (the other van) - it made for a fun story! Deffo use the train!! Sorrento was amazing and only cost us 24€ in shuttles and €20 in trains (total for family of 4) - be selective on where you eat. Heat and hunger led us to a tourist trap restaurant which was average! The town and shopping is fabulous and there are hidden historical gems. The marinas are lovely however, you pay a fortune to bathe. Top tip - wander to the right and there’s a fab restaurant next to a little beach which is free to have a dip! It’s in the port so lots of boats, so not a swimming hot spot but it cooled our toes! We loved our stay and the hotel - thanks so much to the Towers team for making it so special x

Wonderful hotel with lovely helpful staff. The waterproof area was super. Breakfast was very typical for a good standard overseas hotel-a good standard. We had a ground floor room with a balcony that overlooked the Bay of Naples with Vesuvius in the background idyllic. Hotel runs a shuttle bus service to Vico Equense where trains can be caught to Naples Sorrento etc Be careful if you wish to go to Pompei and/or Herculanium using hotel shuttle and train check on train/shuttle connections. Only real disappointment is that the hotels menu did not change in the 10 days we stayed not 3asy to walk to nearby villages.n Overall a lovely holiday.
