Flora Hotel

A beautiful small hotel and spotlessly clean. The staff were very accommodating. The only complaint being that I am a vegetarian and there was a fixed menu for the week with only one option that was not for me. I also do not eat fish. Louanna was absolutely amazing and so helpful i really need to give her so much praise. However, it was out of her hands and apart from a couple of evenings where there was a large coach party of ladies in, i wasnt really offered any substantial alternative and ended up with dipping bread in oil and balsamic and some roast potatoes. I was also given a limited salad on ice with it one night. It was getbyable but really does need to offer more choice for vegetarians. I do, however, have to praise the chef as my husband’s meals were absolutely excellent and presentation was spot on. To sum up if you are not a vegetarian i can highly recommend this hotel

We recently stayed at Hotel Flora for 4 nights. While there was some significant room issues, the staff were lovely and the hotel clean and comfortable. Also it’s in a great position for the ferries to the Borromean Islands. Unfortunately we faced serious bathroom issues our first evening. There was wet flooring in the bathroom, with water seeping up from the floor tiles. Also no running water from 7pm our first night, until we returned from a lovely day out on our 2nd day. The hotel kindly upgraded us after that first night, which we appreciated. However, we were later told that we would have to move back to our original room, even though the bathroom floor situation hadn’t been resolved, and probably wouldn’t be, until the Winter maintenance. Luckily, with the help of our TUI rep, the situation was resolved with us being able to stay in our upgraded room. The breakfast was very good, but unfortunately we only had 1 evening meal there; (which was very good), as their chef was unavailable for the rest of the week. So we were sent to the 5 star Hotel Villa e Palazzo Aminta,. This hotel was obviously completely different with fine dining, excellent waiter service, and we were made very welcome by all the staff including the hotel manager, until our FINAL night. Unfortunately the Maitre D who was different to our usual one was quite rude; making it very obvious that we weren’t particularly welcome as guests from another hotel. Overall, the frontline staff at Hotel Flora were good,but the combination of unresolved maintenance issues and a different evening dining experience; which I completely understand couldn’t be helped, made this short break completely different to what we were expecting.

Lovely weeks stay in Stresa. Beautiful place on the lake. Hotel had a fantastic view, specifically bought room with a great view. Nice breakfast and nice room. 15 minute walk into town but nice restaurant close and you can catch limited boats at the bottom of the hill 15 minutes away. Isola Bella and the local islands are fantastic and must be visited

Great value hotel, wonderful views of the lake and Isola Bella- if you’re on the right side. Decent sized rooms and excellent breakfast. Staff can’t do enough to assist they are fantastic and everything is very clean. It’s a 10 minute walk in to Stresa but it it’s a beautiful walk along the promenade. Next to a main road so make sure you go for the room upgrade and the swimming pool is great too.

Perfect location, 5 minutes walk to lake front and 15 min stroll to centre of Stesa Wonderful service at hotel Aircom a bonus with recent hot weather Room had balcony overlooking the lake, the islands and mountains, perfect 😊 Staff so helpful Breakfast excellent choice, evening meal in hotel a few days with excellent food as well Would highly recommend hotel
