Barcelo Fuerteventura Royal Level Adults Only

We had the most amazing stay at this beautiful hotel. It is in an excellent location, you walk out your hotel onto the beach. The hotel is one of the most beautiful we have been to in Europe. The facilities were great and we used the gym, panel and spa numerous times during our stay. The staff are a credit to the hotel, we felt spoilt as they are very attentive and nothing was too much trouble.

Many problems with old A/C units no real control two rooms with varying temperatures. Staff are excellent though. We will not be coming back unless things improve.

We have just returned from a weeks stay at the Barcelo Fuertevetura Royal level Adult only hotel. Firstly the good points the accomodation was spacious and well maintained and the location was nice. However we didn't feel the Royal level lived up to expectation. On arrival there was no drink offered to us just a rushed introduction to the site via a map.We never knew just how big the complex was . we quickly got changed to access the Terra sana for our evening meal. The food was ok but the rest of the week it went downhill with tasteless meals which had labels on them such as meat party.The deserts on offer were the same every night but the portions got smaller as the week went on .one night the a la carte option was tripe or sausages not very royal. That night we walked out and bought a meal in the town be cause we were so fed u.. At breakfast some days we couldn't even get any orange juice and we went down early because the staff said it had all gone. the bar staff worked very hard but one night we waited an hour for a drink . We didn't feel there was value for money at all. The entertainment was poor and finished very early. We did go to the Brazilian restaurant which we booked and it was better. Much improvement is needed to call this Royal.

Very enjoyable stay. We stayed in room 5045, and although it was quite near to the road, we understood that most of the inner rooms (quieter) would have been taken because we didn’t book until late. The ‘Royal Level’ is very nice, and good value for what we paid, considering the facilities. There are umpteen restaurants and bars spanning a very large plot. And if you don’t want to stay in the ‘Royal Level’, you can go into the other sites and use the facilities. The place is massive, so you can wander around. If I had to provide negatives they are, as usual with most hotels, you have to get up early for a decently placed sun beds. I got up several mornings at 7am and the best sun beds already had towels and belongings on them. More annoyingly, some of the culprits did not turn up until midday. Why hotels don’t do something about this is beyond me. We had a problem with the toilet on the third day, which wasn’t emptying. This followed sewage coming up from the shower tray. However, credit to Barcelo, this was soon remedied, and there wasn’t a recurrence. All in all, this hotel is worth a visit if you want an all inclusive four star holiday. And, unlike a lot of all inclusive resorts, you don’t feel restricted, as the grounds are huge.

I have to say the Royal level in fuerventura is excellent,The comfort, surrounding area and the view is breathtaking.The Thalasso Spa which you can visit being a guest at the Royal is beautiful, definitely worth a visit. The Bungalows that you stay in is very nice but not spectacular but it was nice to have your own private space. The Staff especially the ones at evening are really friendly and the Dining room staff do everything they can for you, Cleaner's do a good job too and its got its own security which is good. The only thing that let's it down is the food. It really isn't good. Breakfast is ok just like any other hotel. The evening meal has no meat no potatoes and no vegetables. I had to put a complaint in as there was nothing there for me.I requested some chicken and my steak knife couldn't cut it. It really wasn't good. I was told there was nothing wrong with it and the chef found it edible which is debatable. We had to go to the Mar and they actually had a chef with proper chicken breasts veg and gravy. This isn't the point though as we didn't choose the mar. Would i return yes for the comfort but no for the food. Be aware no money or card is taken for your drinks it is billed to your room which to me anyone could give your room number. The drinks are definitely the proper ones instead of water down ones. I wanted thus to be a Very special holiday for the money you pay but the confrontation about the food spoiled it for me. Noticed after the complaint they did have potatoes and a few veg but it wasn't hot.just luke warm. If you like your proper meat, potatoes and vegetables then you will not get it here
