We loved this place! We booked a room with a roof terrace. This was wonderful and we really appreciated the space and the rooftop bath! This hotel was extremely clean and the cleaners were very thorough! Our only slight problem was that the hotel asks you to leave the towels on the floor for changing, but they don’t specify exactly what day the cleaner comes so you risk dirtying towels that will never get changed. However we did ask for a towel change one day and this was kindly honoured! The kitchen was well equipped with a hob, microwave, kettle, toaster, and coffee machine. The hotel provides 4 dishwasher tablets, enough coffee filters for 1 jug per day, washing up liquid, and a dishcloth. The fridge freezer is spacious and very efficient. The rooms didn’t come with wine glasses, but there’s a Chinese shop at the other end of town that sells them for about €2. Other than that, there’s plenty of glasses/plates etc. The beds are super comfortable, and the safe is free. The room key is a wristband. There are only stairs to the rooftop rooms. These are really easy to access but worth considering for people with mobility issues and suitcases. WiFi was very good. The TV had plenty of channels in various languages, including the main UK freeview channels. It also had YouTube etc. We arrived late, after reception had closed. We were provided a code to enter the complex and our rooms (this is really straightforward - there’s a map on the wall after the gate entrance). There’s free drinking water below the pool area near the gym. We never used the pool area during our stay as we used the rooftop terrace but it always looked quiet and the lifeguard was always helping people. Reception staff were always helpful whenever we needed something. We had a late checkout for €30 and checked out at 4pm. You have to ask for this on the day of checkout. The TUI coach pickup is across the road by the hotel next to the hiperdino. El cotillo was a wonderful area to spend our holiday. There are so many great bars and restaurants. Nana nearby was good (about a 10-15 min walk). Solar bar was okay. Had a nice rooftop terrace but generally seemed quiet and drinks were quite expensive relative to elsewhere. We got takeaway pizza from Leo’s beach bar to take back several times and this was great. Worth noting: there is no pharmacy in El Cotillo so bring everything you might need or get a taxi! Also, the hiperdino express near the hotel is close enough in price to the nearby superdino and spar so probably not worth the walk unless you want more options. The beaches nearby are great and there’s a lovely beach about 100m away. We had an amazing time at this hotel and we can’t recommend it enough. We would love to come back!

Stayed for 11 nights , first impressions great, apartment very clean and the roof terrace was a lovely place to relax, we also enjoyed the pool,well for the first 6 or 7 days anyway! During our stay a large group of maybe 4 families arrived with about 9 kids, they completley took over the pool, so much so my husband and i had to abondon our usuall afternoon swim which wr really enjoyed! Up untill then we were talking qbout comig back in october but We will not return now which is a shame! The place is lovely but is not big enough to accomodate lots of children, it impacts too much on other guests! Adult only maybe? We would definatley return if this happened.

Stayed for a week in block B 4211 roof terrace apartment. Very clean complex apt well presented with all you need for a self catering stay. Roof terrace a great area to relax on and watch the sunset. Building work all around as resort undergoing a lot of new builds currently, didn’t disturb us too much but was from 8am to 6pm. Pool heated and lovely to use but restricted hours only 11-5 due to need for a life guard. Several families there during our stay who did in some days rather take over the pool, but always found 1-2 quiet for a swim. El Cotillo is a very chilled out place sea swimming at the logons fabulous. Lots of laid back eateries no dressing up around there it’s off the beach and chill.

We have stayed twice before and left 5 star reviews. This was not the case this time. Our apartment was adjacent to about 7 families that had obviously booked together. The behaviour of the children was out of control and the adults did nothing. The pool was impossible to access due to the behaviour. Kids were running around shouting at 7am. The whole area was held hostage to poor parenting. We had to stay away from the apartment to get peace. It was truly aweful. Ultimately, 50% of our holiday was ruined. The pool needs to be open longer with kid free times. And there needs to be a more proactive approach to guest behaviour. Unfortunately it's is very unlikely we will return, indeed, I think it will be 'adults only' from now on. The construction noise was not an issue. It was drowned out by the constant tantrums from the over indulged children.

Firstly apartments are amazing, clean, comfortable, roof terrace perfect if you want to relax and have a lazy day. The building work started 8am to 5 or 6pm , we were told by tui to expect light noise but it was so loud, bring ear plugs or you will be woken at 8am , we couldn't enjoy the terrace on most days as they were breaking into the rocks next door, and it was constant pounding, not everyday but quite a lot, I was ready to book a flight home after 3 days and talking to another couple underneath us they were the same. Beach was only 5 mins walk, beautiful. Pool lovely but again as mentioned only open from 11 to 5pm , then last couple days 5 couples turned up with about 9 kids under 5 , they completely over took pool area , fishing nets etc in the pool, loud , no control over kids, they left kids toys , washing, crap, all along the floor outside apartments and left it there, like they owned the place, think it would be so much better adults only, as it's not really geared up for kids . Would I go back, if it was adults only definitely and once building work was complete next door, as the beaches were amazing, apartments spotless, also hired a bike from a shop next to the big hotel near supermarket, we went to lighthouse and stopped off different beaches, worth doing this.
