Apartamentos Roca Verde

Location is fine as there are plenty of local buses to get where you need to be. The general atmosphere is quiet and mainly older guests. The rooms are very grubby and dated apart from bathroom that seemed recently renovated, fan provided in room was extremely filthy. Also corridors need major attention. Clean towels where provided once in our week long stay and bed sheets not changed at all, cleaning staff attended the room twice during our stay and basically emptied the bin and made the beds, pointless really. Facilities were just ok. Value for money while I understand these apartments to be a cheaper option in the area, still not worth it. 150 euro damage deposit taken which was unnerving as the room already had minor damage throughout which they obviously acknowledge as there was no issue returning our deposit at the end our stay. All in all it wasn’t horrific however would not stay again.

We stayed her for 5 nights and it was such a lovely place. We booked a one bedroom apartment and it was stunning and so clean! We had our own balcony that had a clothes rack on the balcony for drying things. There were two single beds in the room but we just pushed them together! Ample wardrobe space also! There are three pools. The big one was mainly empty and everyone staying there was very calm and relaxed. Rebecca at reception was very helpful and a funny character. The beach is a 5 minute walk one way and loads of bars a 5 minute walk the other way. The bus is just around the corner and you can get it to Puerto Rico for €2.50. We really enjoyed our stay and can’t way to return. The hair dryer in the bathroom was decent compared to most places. Basic amenities in the kitchen.

This was our 2nd stay at Roca Verde and we would return if the price was right. We had a 2 bed apartment this time which had a pool view and the main balcony got the sun in the afternoon. No real complaints apart from the beds are quite hard and we took our own pillows, as these were not comfortable when we stayed last time. The kitchen is quite small but we managed OK as we only really made drinks and snacks, I would imagine making full meals would be quite difficult. There is a 2nd small balcony off the kitchen which had a view of the sea. As we had an early flight we arrived well before check in had opened but I had emailed the hotel prior to our stay so our apartment was ready and we paid the 13 euro charge to check in early. The new gym is a great addition with a good variety of machines/weights. Pool area was nice. being there in the winter means it doesn't get the sun all day but it was easy to move around the 2 pools as lots of loungers so you could have a full day in the sun if you wished. All the staff were lovely and we had no issues with anyone. We were able to leave our suitcases with reception on our last day as our flight didn't leave until the early evening but there is an option to keep your room on for a fee. Due to us having made plans already we didn't require this but is good to keep in mind for next time. The surrounding area was quiet at night time so there were no issues sleeping or being disturbed.
