El Rondo

The hotel was so lovely and clean, the staff were absolutely amazing from Gian,Sebastian,Salma,Luz and David Absolutely amazing staff so friendly made our holiday. The food was lovely I can not speak highly enough about this hotel and staff honestly amazing 🤩 I can not wait to go back and taste Gian’s version of tequila rose 🤩 All staff, chef, cleaners, receptionist staff were honestly so friendly, the pool was absolutely perfect 👌🏻 I didn’t want to come home loved it that much ♥️ Even getting burnt on a place which was uncomfortable to sit on 🤦‍♀️😂 Thank you all for an awesome holiday can’t wait to come back 🥰♥️

Very nice hotel. Food was spot on ate at the al a carte each evening. Big shout out to GIAN our amazing brummy buddy who made us feel welcome from the minute we arrived, and who kept the restaurant on form. Could defiantly tell when he wasn't there!!!! Reception staff again awesome very helpful.. pool staff amazing apart from one muppet lifeguard who thank god was only there once. Confiscated inflatables and then slashed them destroying further use. Bedrooms cleaned daily with fresh towels staff again very polite. Supermarket just around corner for cheaper drinks and snacks. Beach was a little trek..Yes I would return ..many thanks 😊

Brilliant location only 30mins from the airport and walking distance from the beach and Yumbo. Really friendly relaxed staff from all over the world. The rooms were clean and turned over daily, great showers. The hotel facilities are decent and the egg counter at breakfast is amazing. The gym is really popular. Overall I couldn’t fault the hotel or its staff and services. Thank you for a great holiday, I would definitely stay again.

An excellent family holiday. Rooms are clean and spacious and daily maid service is thorough. The pool is relaxed and suitable for older children. Their sister hotel (which we had access to) is down the road that is more catered towards smaller children with lots more going on. The main benefit of this hotel though is the food. The standard of the lunch and dinner is especially high with everything cooked fresh and tastes excellent. We went full board and glad we did as it represents outstanding value for money for the quality of the food you get. Although a 15 minute walk to the beach there is a shuttle service you can take advantage of put on by the hotel. If you do go full board don't bother going to the sister hotel as the food is far inferior.

This was our second year in a row staying at HL Rondo on a half-board basis, which probably says a lot in itself. We normally like trying somewhere different, but we haven't regretted coming back at all. The standout for us is the food. The à la carte restaurant is genuinely excellent, serving proper three-course sit-down meals. We realised this year that the chef chooses a different meat dish, fish dish and dessert each day, alongside a selection of regular favourites. The burger is particularly good! You also have the option of using the buffet at Miraflor Suites across the road. Again, it's a really good buffet with a fresh meat cooking station. Every day I found myself struggling to decide what to have because there was so much choice, rather than struggling to find something I liked. We're not particularly fussy eaters, but I think most people would find it difficult to criticise the quality of the food. The rooms at HL Rondo are spacious, modern and very comfortable, and the whole hotel has a lovely aesthetic. The lobby is bright, white and airy, and on my last day I've been perfectly happy just relaxing there before travelling home. All of the staff we've encountered have been friendly and welcoming, which has made the stay even more enjoyable. The only real downside is that the sunbeds around the pool can fill up fairly quickly. That said, we tended to arrive around the pool later in the morning. If you were there by about 11am, there was usually no issue finding somewhere to sit. The hotel is a reasonable walk from the beach, which doesn't bother us at all. It's also directly opposite the Yumbo Centre, making it a great location if you enjoy the nightlife while still being somewhere comfortable to relax during the day. Overall, we've had another fantastic stay. Coming back for a second year could easily have felt repetitive, but it didn't. We'd happily return again and would definitely recommend HL Rondo to anyone looking for a friendly, comfortable hotel with excellent food in.
