El Rondo

I came back to this hotel because I had been before. It's clean .it's lovely .staff are great ...but today Saturday. For the last 5 hours I feel I ve been on a council estate rave .the noise from next door is horrendous!can't sit round the pool .can hear it in the bedroom .and now I have a blinding headache. So much for a relaxing holiday. Not hl hondo fault ...but I really can't belive the noise.......

Have just spent a week at Hotel Rondo and it exceeded all my expectations. As a solo traveller I felt welcomed and looked after by all the staff. Brilliant location, great pool and sun terrace and the food was incredible. I was so impressed on my first visit to Gran Canaria I have already booked to return next September.

This is my third visit there in 12 months, which just goes to show how much i enjoy being there. The hotel is still being well maintained after its refurb a couple of years ago and, the pool is spotless, with daily cleaning of the whole outdoor pool area. Still a great breakfast (thanks to the egg chef), and most staff are really warm, welcoming and friendly. Just a grumpy receptionist lets down the welcome. I had a superior on the fifth floor, great views and larger bathrooms and the balcony gets the sun all day. They seem to be doing further building works and opening a bar area on the north side next to the supermarket. The current bar food offering is really good, fresh and cooked to order. The only bar letdown is slow service in the evening - all staff are focussed on the restaurant and therefore forget about customers waiting in the bar/outdoor bar area. The supermarket (which they own), also has a small table seating area out front, with a coffee/ice-cream shop, good ice-cream and coffee. Housekeeping are excellent ... always thoroughly cleaning the rooms to a high standard. I shall be back again next Spring.

An Exceptional Stay and a Special Thank You to Rodrigo I had a wonderful stay at this hotel, and I can honestly say that one of the biggest highlights was the breakfast egg station especially the wonderful chef, Rodrigo. Rodrigo is absolutely brilliant. He makes the most delicious eggs, but what really makes him stand out is the love, care, and attention he puts into what he does. He is incredibly engaging, warm, and charming, and the way he interacts with guests is truly special. He makes everyone feel welcome and brings such a positive energy to the breakfast experience. What impressed me most was that Rodrigo remembered exactly how I like my eggs, six egg whites and two yolks! Every morning, he made them with the same care and attention. That personal touch really made a difference and made my mornings something to look forward to. He genuinely stands out from the rest of the staff, not because the others aren't lovely, they are, but because Rodrigo has that extra special quality that makes a guest feel remembered and cared for. A big thank you, Rodrigo, for making my stay even more enjoyable. You are a credit to the hotel. Gracias, Rodrigo! I’m also very grateful to the rest of the staff, who are friendly and welcoming throughout my stay. Overall, a fantastic experience, and one I will remember fondly.
