Maspalomas Villas by Dunas

This was the most fantastic holiday, the whole experience is a joy! From the great check in with a glass of cava, luggage taken to the villa and a fridge full of welcome drinks. But the staff are just superb, from check in, the life guard who reserved your sun beds the day before, the team in the beautiful restaurant, sorry hopeless with names but thank you to you all , the service and standard of food really made our holiday. We loved the treats brought to your sunbed in a morning and afternoon and the yoga(which i have never done before) was treat with Ania , we loved her demonstrations too, cocktail making was fun. All the little things made the difference, the chocolates brought round in the evening, free drinks at the pool, as many clean sunbed towels as you needed . A totally stressless, relaxing environment in the adults only area however crossing over the family areas ,all looked so well catered for there too. We had a nice back massage in the wellness area, again lovely staff and very reasonably priced. The whole place was spotless. We did have a minor issue as we were in a 2 bed villa that didn’t appear to have been upgraded like the rest of the villas however, due to all of our stay ,being looked after with such warm, caring people and so many extras we were not expecting this was not a problem. We decided to upgrade to the adults only area of the hotel on arrival, and we’re so glad we did. The area around the pool here is calm with no music. Sunbeds are much comfier than the rest of the hotel, most being double width and padded. Pool lifeguards are helpful with helping with parasols and taking bookings for beds for following day, though there were always beds free as it didn’t ever feel overcrowded. The bungalows are set amidst beautiful gardens, all with a terrace with table, chairs and 2 further sunbeds- though not padded ones here. Some terraces have more privacy than others so it’s your luck I guess for this. All staff were very helpful and polite. Food was excellent quality. We were half board and at dinner you could choose from the buffet, or à la carte menu- one fish, one meat, one pasta or risotto and one vegan choice each evening. Each night had a theme of a country. My favourite was the Asian night. The bar area next to the restaurant was very chilled with singers on 5 of the 7 evenings. Bar staff very attentive. We could use the restaurants and bars in rest of resort but apart from watching the entertainment a couple of evenings there, found the adult only area much more appealing. There were yoga/ stretch classes in adults area too which I enjoyed, though not well attended so perhaps could be better advertised. Ania was a good yoga instructor. Demonstrations took place at the pool daily of things like making Canadian hot sauce, or various cocktails which was a nice touch. Treats were also brought round the pool twice a day- smoothies, doughnuts etc. All in all a lovely hotel and only a 15 minute easy walk to the sun town and seafront of Melonaras which is lovely too.

This was a spur of the moment holiday and we chose good. On arrival we were given a full description of the hotel and where relevant facilities were. As our room was not quite ready so we grabbed some lunch and this was suburb. Our room was in the Adults only section, which gave us access to a pool and separate restaurant, though we could use all the other facilities if we wanted. The room was a fair size, cleaned well daily. There was a walk in shower which performed well. Food was excellent all week, a choice between buffet and à la carte, always well cooked. Around the pool it was always relaxed and attentive life guards (Miguel) was there to help as and when required. Have to say this was as close to perfect and definitely one of the best holidays we have had in the last 5 years. We normally book Half Board but this time went All Inclusive - the price difference certainly made an overall saving. Will we come again? yes, for sure.

This was our second time staying at this wonderful hotel with our family, and once again, we had an amazing experience. From the moment you walk through the doors, you immediately feel well looked after and welcomed. The Villas Premium by Dunas is the perfect place for a relaxing family holiday. Our villa had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. It was very clean, the towels were changed every day, and, most importantly, the air conditioning worked perfectly. The resort itself is spacious and well maintained, with a large swimming pool and a jacuzzi — which I absolutely loved! There really is something for everyone. But what truly made our holiday special was the wonderful staff. Everyone was so friendly, helpful and welcoming, from the team taking care of our villa to the restaurant staff, who made every breakfast and dinner a real pleasure. The food was delicious, and their warm and attentive service made every meal even more enjoyable. A special mention must go to Ania, whose beautiful smile, positive energy and enthusiasm made our stay even more memorable. She organized a variety of activities and entertainment around the resort and always brought such a wonderful atmosphere with her. We wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone, especially families, looking for a peaceful and relaxing holiday with delicious food, beautiful surroundings and truly wonderful staff. Everyone went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and ensure we had a fantastic stay. We would definitely love to come back again!

Had an amazing 10 night family holiday here from the 23rd August staying in the adult only Premier Villas. All the staff are so lovely and could not be more helpful or cheerful… Oscar on the check in desk, all the receptionists, Rachid who greeted everyone into the restaurant and took food orders with a smile, the bar staff, the waiters and waitresses, the house keeping team, the lifeguards and the entertainment crew. When we had a problem with the electric in our villa, the director and the lady from Guest Experience (I’m sorry I should have asked your name) were beyond helpful as we had to pack everything and move into a different villa. We could not have asked for anything more… we were given a pool view, late checkout with All inclusive and massages. All the rooms were perfect - cleaned every day, comfortable, coffee pods and water replenished everyday and the lady who came every night with chocolates and changed our towels made our evening when she came before we went for dinner. I should have also got the name of the bar man who started most days at 4 pm - he served every drink with a smile and clearly enjoys his job. An absolute asset to the hotel. The pool area is beautiful with comfortable leather sun loungers and plenty available without reserving. Many of the Balinese beds were reserved daily officially with the lifeguard and room number placed on in the morning, but we didn’t need to as there was always sun loungers available at all times of the day. The only thing that could be improved is to have more parasols, as some people had 3 around their Balinese beds not always leaving enough for everyone else. I have never seen lifeguards work so hard - putting parasols up and down, collecting cups from around the pool, as well always ensuring safety. Snack time mid morning and around 4:30 was a bonus as smoothies, fruit salad and sweet treats were handed out around the pool - something I have never experienced before. Also, a huge shout out to Manu from the hotel entertainment team and Clement from the Corallium team! In fact, all from the Coraium team. Despite us being one of the very few English families in the hotel, they both made our son welcome to all activities. Being a teenager on his own in the adult side, he went across to the family side everyday. They knew him by name, speaking to him whenever they saw him and made sure he knew what times the activities were. Aqua gym was fantastic, the dunas challenge was hilarious and the team are talented in so many ways. Maybe there could be an entertainment board on the adult side with the times of the activities and where they took place, as it took us 3 days to find where the yoga session was - Thankyou Ania! It was lovely being able to use all areas of the hotel with the activities and lunch on the family side, chill out by the pool on the adult side and watch the entertainment back on the family side after the most amazing meals. All food is amazing and being able to order breakfast and dinner à la carte in addition to the buffet makes the hotel feel like a 5* experience. This was our first time in Gran Canaria and would definitely use this hotel again. Just to add, using the local bus to visit places was easy, and it’s a lovely walk to the dunes and shopping centre.
