TUI BLUE Atlantica Sungarden Park

A more than decent hotel for what we paid through TUI. We were all inclusive, and the food was very good quality. Drinks were great in the lounge bar, but a little sub standard in the pool area. People did hog the sun beds by placing towels on them very early, and not returning until much later. Something the Hotel should look into. The room we had was a one bedroom family, it was modern , spacious and kept very clean. Daytime and evening entertainment was disappointing, but it is only a small complex. All in all A very good , small Hotel

This hotel unfortunately really didn't hit the mark for us. It was for my husband's 30th birthday which I had stated when I booked with TUI and also emailed the hotel separately to confirm. I have seen on previous reviews that people have had towel art, flowers, fruit, champagne etc - we had no acknowledgement the whole holiday for his birthday. This was very disappointing. THE ROOM - We were in a swim up suite, which be warned do not look anything like the photos on the TUI website. The hotel has been very careful with which photos they use, as they take photos of the swim up suites round the back of the hotel, the corner plots, the best ones. In reality, we were given one facing the pool bar, much less idyllic than expected. We did request to move but it was fully booked. To be honest, a lot of this hotel was giving instagram v reality if you know what I mean. We also got shade at 4pm and I requested a sunny all day room. NOISE - Now this was a huge issue for us. Being so close to reception, we could hear so much. Every morning at around 6am right outside our door was people shouting in different language - I imagine this was the cleaning staff/maintenance staff as a few times I opened the door they were the only ones there. It was really annoying given we went to relax - it was not very relaxing. CLEANLINESS - the maid Chrys, was lovely, and bless her heart wanted to clean our room everyday. She was very friendly and good. We were never left any towel art or anything, honestly I expected more from a TUI blue. The pool area was relatively clean too. POOLS - the pool has no toilets. The nearest toilets are very far away, this is just poorly designed. We actually found it easier to go back to our room toilet than the pool toilet. ENTERTAINMENT - this was poorly advertised. We went out one night as there was nothing showing as being on and we missed the one evening the photographer took photos of everyone. Would have been nice with it being a special occasion. The rest of the entertainment on an evening was just singers - nothing else. Super boring atmosphere and not good enough when you're all inclusive. STAFF - the reception team where somewhat helpful although never too friendly. The dining room staff were very friendly, although take your plate and knife and fork as soon as you have finished and there is no where else to get cutlery should you wish to go back to the buffet. FOOD - very disappointing. I am a fussy eater, and honestly, have survived on cold chips, bread and chicken nuggets. The food in the buffet was not varied enough for my liking, everything was covered in herbs or sauce already and I'm a plain guy. I was in a TUI hotel the week before in Ibiza (not TUI Blue) and their choice was so much better. The pancakes every morning were mostly cold and hard, one of the tomato sauces was empty for the whole week, bread was not filled up when the rolls had gone. There were no crepes, no french toast, etc. Very basic options. There was no ice cream available - only ice lollies. I find this crazy for a TUI Blue. LOCATION - good location in terms of beaches, close by there are about a 15 minute walk to a sandy beach. The hotel does not have a beach. Ayia Napa is about 10 minutes walk away, not a very nice walk to be honest. Past a derelict building and to be honest we found Ayia Napa itself not a nice place. Full of people handing out leaflets, noisy quad bikes and booze shops. I wouldn't recommend. WOULD I RECOMMEND? - absolutely NOT. Everything about this hotel did not meet the mark and for what we paid was absurd. Save your money and go elsewhere. This is my 5th holiday this year and I would say this is one of the worst hotels I have ever visited in terms of being underwhelming and shocking value for money. I stayed in a ordinary TUI hotel in Ibiza the week before this one and it was half the price and so much better. I will not be recommending this to friends and family and overall feel incredibly disappointed with my husbands 30th birthday trip. We had to make the most of it to have a nice holiday for his big celebration but you live and you learn, believe this review.

Good but not great. My forth time at this hotel and my previous 3 times have been excellent. However on this occasion I feel that things have been allowed to slip slightly. Explanation below The sliding glass door near the Italian restaurant was broken for the duration of our 12 days. The chicken nuggets were rubbish and they’ve clearly changed suppliers. Last year the chicken nuggets were excellent. The entertainment. The entertainment has never been a highlight at this hotel and that is fine. However this year it was even worse than previous years. TUI reps not turning up and whole days with no entertainment happened on more than one occasion. There seemed to be big groups of loud mouthed English wedding parties. I’ve not experienced this before in the previous 3 years. Cockroaches. I know this is Cyprus and cockroaches are a thing here. However, on my previous 3 stays at the hotel I haven’t seen a single one. However this time I saw more than 1 and on more than 1 occasion. This to me suggest that cleaning standards have slipped, Would I stay again? Maybe, if these concerns are addressed

PLEASE AVOID THIS HOTEL!! DANGER TO LIFE!! My son has severe food allergies, and we made the hotel fully aware of his condition well before booking, again before flying out, and once more when we arrived. We could not have been clearer about how serious his allergies were. Despite this, my son suffered a severe allergic reaction, and we had to arrange and pay for a taxi to the nearest hospital, which was around 20 minutes away. What made the situation even worse was the hotel’s complete lack of help, compassion, and understanding during what was an extremely frightening experience for our family. After spending hours in hospital, we returned to the hotel with our two young children, only to have my son refused food by the hotel. The hotel manager’s behaviour was absolutely disgusting. He was shockingly rude, cold, and completely unsympathetic. Rather than showing even the slightest concern for a child who had just suffered a serious allergic reaction, he spoke to us in an aggressive and dismissive manner and refused to serve us any food at all. He showed no compassion, offered no assistance, and appeared completely indifferent to the distress our family was experiencing. I have never been treated with such disrespect, particularly during such a frightening medical emergency. His attitude was disgraceful and utterly unacceptable. We were left with no choice but to leave the hotel. At around 11pm, with two young children, we were roaming the streets of Ayia Napa trying to find somewhere else to stay. On top of everything we experienced, the hotel had zero entertainment, and the cleanliness was unacceptable, including bedsheets with hairs and stains. The way we were treated was absolutely appalling. When a hotel has been repeatedly informed about a child’s serious food allergies, you expect the staff to take that information seriously and, at the very least, show some compassion and assistance when something goes terribly wrong. Please think very carefully before booking this hotel, especially if you are travelling with young children or anyone with food allergies. We would absolutely NEVER stay here again.

It was nice , that’s it - nice . Not the experience I’ve previously had with other TUI blue hotels . That being said , there was nothing really wrong , it was ok . We arrived in the middle of the night , and there was no welcome drink and only a poor sandwich on offer . Got to the room and the only drink in the fridge was bottled water . The à la carte Italian was ok - but the only à la carte on site . The beach in front of the hotel was not useable . There was daily water aerobics but otherwise , entertainment throughout the day was poor . Evening entertainment was non existent . On the plus side - the staff were exceptional , the swim up rooms were nice and the sun beds were never a struggle to get . I hate to be negative , but I don’t know how it was a TUI blue ? The hotel was also recommended to me by a TUI rep who had recently visited and could not stop raving about it I was told .
