Filitheyo Island Resort

Filitheyo Island Resort patří mezi nejlepší lokace Malediv pro šnorchlování. Pokud bydlíte v standardních "chatách" s čísly mezi 65 - 75 máte v podstatě volný průchod od pláže přímo za korálový útes a nemusíte nic nikde obcházet (všude jinde ano, na východní části ostrova je moře nedostupné úplně). Ostrůvek je v podsatě celý pokrytý palmami, průchozí kudy chcete není kvůli hustému porostu, jsou po něm vytvořeny cesty po kterých se dá obejít dokola (celkově má 2,2km okruh kolem ostrova). Na ostrově je jeden bazén s barem a snackem. Jenda restaurace kde se podávají všechan jídla přes den, je to v podstatě velký stan bez stěn. Každý sektor má svého číšníka který se Vám stará o pití, jídlo si vybíráte formou bufetu. Pokoje jsou jako dvojdomky s velkou ložnicí-obývákem a druhou místností je koupelna, která je částečně pod střechou, částečně nezastřešená - otevřená. Od našich (číslo 72) bylo cca 10m cesta k pláži která má cca dalších 10m a pak už je přímo moře a korál, kde je možné pozorovat běžné rybky, korály, často želvy a několik druhů menších žraloků. Jednou se nám poštěstilo vidět i hejno delfínů (ca 20 jedinců) proplouvajících kolem ostrova. Jediné negativum pro Vás může být připojení k internetu. může se si sice zplatit Wifi,, která tedy nenfunguje bůh ví jak, nebo lépe si na letišti pořídit místní SIM kartu.

Cestovali jsme na 12 dní v lednu 2020 a moc se nám tam líbilo,Zvláštní poděkování patří do kuchyně, jídlo je tu velmi dobré vlastně vynikající a každý den obměna jídelníčku. V nabídce All Inclusive všechny podávané nápoje jsou dostačující a kvalitní a personál vstřícný a milý. My se rádi vrátíme zpět.

Úroveň tohoto resortu nás opravdu zklamala, nevěřila jsem špatným recenzím. Doslova všechno potřebuje nutnou údržbu včetně bujné vegetace a pláže. Nikdo neodklízí spadlé větve a kokosové ořechy volně padají na cesty pro ubytované. Líbilo se nám jen potápění, které je ve správě německé společnosti. Reef je pěkný, lehce dostupný z pláže okolo skoro celého ostrova, ale už nikdy na Filitheyo nepojedeme.

few things I absolutely love about Filitheyo, especially compared with some of the more polished and luxurious Maldivian resorts: Filitheyo is wonderfully unpretentious. There is no snobbery, no need to dress up and no excessive luxury for the sake of luxury. Instead, the island has retained its authentic Maldivian character: dark wood, warm and subdued lighting, traditional architecture and a wonderfully cosy atmosphere. Nothing feels overly modern, flashy or artificial – and that is precisely part of its charm. It is also blissfully quiet. If you are looking for pristine, secluded beaches and a genuine sense of escaping from the outside world, Filitheyo delivers. The house reef is, quite simply, spectacular. For anyone who loves snorkelling or diving, this island is difficult to beat. Even just heading into the water around Exit 4 towards the water villas, you can encounter reef sharks, rays, sea turtles, moray eels, clownfish, countless colourful reef fish and, of course, the occasionally rather naughty triggerfish 😂. You do not need an elaborate excursion to experience the underwater world – it is quite literally on your doorstep. There is plenty to do without the island ever feeling busy. Walking around the island is a lovely way to get your steps in, while the children can spend hours exploring, looking for shells and simply fooling around on the beach. There is tennis and football, as well as pool, darts and table tennis. There is also a gym and a swimming pool, which is particularly nice for the kids when they want a change from the sea. One of our favourite rituals is heading to the Sunset Bar, ordering a cocktail, playing cards and watching the day slowly disappear over the Indian Ocean. Simple, relaxed and absolutely perfect. And then there are the cats – which, for us, only add to the island’s charm. ❤️ The food is another highlight. There is plenty of variety, but if you love fresh tuna and curries in particular, you will be very happy here. The food fits the island perfectly: flavourful, satisfying and without unnecessary fuss. Filitheyo may not be the Maldives for people looking for ultra-modern villas, designer interiors, bright lights and conspicuous luxury. But that is exactly why we love it. It feels natural, authentic, peaceful and wonderfully removed from the rest of the world. Beautiful beaches, an exceptional house reef, good food, cocktails at sunset, happy children, cats wandering around and absolutely no pretence. We will always come back
