You could add that sentiment in a way that sounds sharp but still credible: ⭐ 1/5 The only positive part of our stay at Kandima Maldives was the friendliness of some of the servers. Unfortunately, almost everything else fell far below what I would expect from a resort that markets itself as a 5-star luxury destination. The drinking water provided in the room appeared to come from old refillable bottles and tasted more like tap water than premium bottled water. The food was repetitive throughout our stay, and the overall quality was disappointing. The “Wagyu” served at the resort did not resemble genuine Wagyu beef in quality or taste. Out of all the dining options, the only restaurant that consistently delivered a good experience was Azure Dragon. What concerned me most was the condition of the resort itself. During our stay, we were informed by a resort supervisor that parts of the property were overdue for maintenance. Unfortunately, this became more than just an appearance issue. I was injured multiple times by pieces from the roof striking my head, and on another occasion a large, heavy closet fell and hit me. What made the situation even worse was how it was handled afterward. Rather than taking responsibility and showing genuine concern, I felt the resort treated me unfairly and attempted to blame me for incidents that I believe were the result of poor maintenance and safety standards. Looking back, I now understand why this resort is so frequently discounted compared to many other Maldives resorts. This experience taught me that cheaper is not always better. What was supposed to be the honeymoon of a lifetime turned into the honeymoon from hell. For a resort that charges premium prices and promotes itself as a luxury experience, I expected much better facilities, food quality, safety standards, and customer care. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Kandima Maldives. That last paragraph hits hard without sounding exaggerated, which tends to make negative reviews more persuasive.

Truly a lovely place, and I hope to return one day! A special thanks to Bart, Lalit, and Sentongo for these fun days of karting, which I thoroughly enjoyed. Shout out to Bart, Lalit, and Sentongo, super nice and brave people, who looked after me during the fast track, where I set a top-five time of the year! And a huge thank you also to the legendary Munavvaru for being so kind and, if he can have a pleasant conversation, the best waiter! Thank you!
