Sliema Chalet Hotel

The only positive points was the location and view from our balcony. Very uncomfortable beds, made of chipboard (looks homemade) Stinks of sewage in the bedroom and bathroom really badly! Very dated and basic, wish I'd checked on here before booking! Photos are misleading. Also very noisy with building work going on next door!

Your experience totally depends on what kind of room you get. We had 2 separate reservations. For the first night we got a room with a balcony and sea view. It was amazing to enjoy the sunrise! AC was working well and everything else was fine ( in fact we booked a regular room via booking.com and it came as a surprise that we got a room with sea view). For the next night we got a regular room but without a window. I would not call a glass that is not transparent a window. They should write in the booking site that this is a room without window. The AC was working ok, there was a bathtub. The staff was friendly and helpful (of course it depends on on the person: the first agent was super helpful and the other one was just doing what was absolutely needed).
