An unforgettable stay in Mauritius 🇲🇺 We had a wonderful stay at Hilton Mauritius Resort & Spa, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the beautiful location, the stunning ocean views, the well-kept resort and the warm atmosphere. The staff were very friendly, attentive and always ready to help. A special thank you to the team for making my wife’s 33rd birthday so special. The private dinner on the beach was absolutely beautiful and created a very memorable evening for both of us. We truly appreciated the care and attention to detail. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the whole resort has a very relaxing and romantic atmosphere. Mauritius itself is amazing, but staying at Hilton made our trip even more special. We would like to thank the entire Hilton team for their hospitality and wonderful service. We will definitely remember this holiday for a long time and would be happy to return again. Thank you, Hilton Mauritius, for making our stay so special! ❤️🇲🇺

Arrival & Check-in: Outstanding The arrival set a great tone. We were welcomed straight out of the taxi by a concierge, arranged in advance by the hotel. Since our family suite wasn't ready yet, we were given a separate room to rest and wait in — a thoughtful, genuinely unique touch, along with a lovely upgrade. A first impression done right. Family Suite & Grounds: Excellent The family suite was spacious and beautifully appointed, with a large balcony — perfect for a family and spotlessly clean throughout. Nice details like the torch-lit paths at night and regular live music add real charm. The grounds are attractively laid out; walking along the beach is lovely, with neighbouring hotels and a public beach right alongside and a beautiful sunset to enjoy. Pools There's one pool for children and adults and one adults-only pool. The family pool is heated, which was a real highlight, and the overall pool and jacuzzi area is lovely, with fish dotted around the grounds. One drawback: the children's area is often taken up by adults, as there are relatively few loungers around it. Restaurants: A Mixed Picture • Indian – the best of the bunch. Our first visit was excellent, with attentive service, delicious food, and lovely care taken with our daughter. The second visit was a little frustrating, as several requests (starter and main together, extra rice, etc.) weren't followed through — but the food was consistently excellent. • Thai – very good. Great food and good service, though priced a step above the other restaurants. • Pool restaurant/bar – average. Food was neither good nor bad, and we were glad to have an option right by the pool. Service could be inattentive and noticeably picked up mainly once we were recognised as Diamond members, which was a shame. • Coquillages (evening) – the weakest. The ribeye came well done instead of medium, and was dry and tough. For the price, disappointing. Breakfast: Highly Dependent on Who's Working When the restaurant manager (Kunil, if I have the name right) was present, breakfast was excellent — very attentive service, and he thanked us each time for our Diamond membership. On days he wasn't there, we were largely ignored and service was slow, with staff standing and chatting by the desk rather than attending to guests, and people repeatedly having to ask for cutlery. Real consistency here would make a big difference. A Word on Service & Diamond Status Overall the service was average, and more proactive and consistent attentiveness would elevate the whole experience considerably. We left generous tips throughout. One genuine standout: the young male concierge colleague with glasses was exceptionally attentive and helpful — the best staff member we came across during our stay. Health & Safety – One Important Note At the Sunset Bar, I redeemed a Diamond voucher and had an allergic reaction to nuts in the pesto that weren't disclosed. When I asked directly whether it contained nuts, I was simply told it was pesto, no nuts. The medical team responded and offered an infusion; I recovered with my own medication. Unfortunately there was no apology afterwards, nor any follow-up to check how I was doing. I'd strongly encourage the team to take allergy queries more seriously. Also when I told the team about it that I need a drink due to my allergic reaction urgently, the young colleague continued to pour a cocktail until I had to raise my voice. Activities Boat and snorkelling equipment were included, which is a great touch — though it was quite windy and cold on our day, so we couldn't really make the most of it. Overall A beautiful, family-friendly property that we were genuinely happy to have stayed at. The grounds, rooms, and family suite are top class, and the check-in experience was a real highlight. The food ranges from excellent to disappointing depending on the venue, and the service — with some lovely individual exceptions — is where there's most room to grow. With more consistent, proactive attentiveness, this would be a five-star experience across the board. We'd love to come back.

Highly recommend this hotel if you are thinking about staying in Mauritius. The hotel is situated on the west side of the island which is known for its beaches, jungle life and sunsets (sun sets west of the island). The staff are super friendly and will go above and beyond for the guests, including housekeeping, spa staff and restaurant staff. We had such an amazing stay over 10 nights and would recommend to anyone.

Was there with our moms. We had the best massage by Joelle - pressure awesome. Very cheerful lady ❤️ Can’t wait to do our massage with her again 🥰 Javed was ever smiling, helpful and cheerful throughout our treatment.
