Bahia Principe Escape Tequila

As privileged members, my husband and I had an amazing stay at Bahia Principe Tequila, creating beautiful memories we will treasure for years to come. The food was great, the amenities fantastic, and the access to golf carts made it easy to explore all five Bahia Principe resorts. We especially enjoyed the snack bars and food truck for our casual lunches. What truly made our stay unforgettable was the exceptional staff. Their warmth, genuine smiles, and outstanding hospitality allowed us to build wonderful relationships and feel truly at home. The beautifully manicured gardens and well-maintained grounds added to the resort’s charm. We are so grateful for the wonderful experiences and special connections we made. Thank you, Bahia Principe Tequila, for another memorable holiday filled with joy and happiness. We sincerely hope to return in October! Just got back from Bahia Principe Tequila after a 1 week stay. First time at Tequila but have been to Akumal and Sian Khan many times. With the Hyatt purchase there are a lot of changes in the air and there is some good, some not so good. Here are my thoughts Rooms Tequila is new and the rooms are fantastic! 11/10 Great spa like washrooms, huge showers, all electronic lights. Really nice Food and beverage Tequila offers 3 a la carte dinners for the week as I was used to unlimited with the other resorts, this was disappointing. Tequila does not have a buffet. The main restaurant is open for breakfast and supper. You order a la carte from a restrained menu that was fine. Food was fresh, hot and there is s lot less waste which I really appreciate. Supper is the same with some choices and it was really good. I did go to the Akumal and Sian khan buffets and I found they had gone down a lot since my last visit in 2025 so my Tequila restaurant was a blessing in disguise. At lunch the snack bar is the only option. I like the system of ordering on a screen and your number comes up when your order is ready. Again fresh ,hot , delicious food. I had the tacos 3 times and they were great. Only negative is the choice to add a small side such as fries but staff did it for me when I asked. One thing I found strange was the lack of guacamole in buffets and snack bars. Beverage program has been reduced when it comes to premium spirits. Ex. Tanqueray is free in Sian khan but extra at Tequila. Probably a few learning curves to adjust. A la cartes: Portovino good but not wow Smoked. My new favorite. Great brisket and ribs. The service of Juan and his manager Pastor were fantastic and definately worth the trip The asian/ peruvian restaurant (forgot the name) was also extremely good Ambiance Tequila is adults only but I feel it caters to the 18-35 demo. Music is cranked up at 2 pm to the point that you feel the bass in your room. Older guests should consider Sian khan for a calmer ambiance. Beach A bit of erosian that will probably be remedied with a few truckloads of sand. Sergussam was not visible because of the incredible hard work of their team who deserve a raise for what they do. Conclusion I hope management will look into the shortfalls and maybe go back to some of the things that made us fall in love with the brand. There was a lot of grumbling by customers who had been there many,many times. Change hurts but it also helps improve. I have not given up and will be returning to thr resort , probably Sian khan for this oldtimer😜 The real changes are happening Nov 1st and there are still a lot of unanswered questions on logistics so we’ll see how it turns out Cheers!

Our stay was absolutely amazing. Andrea at the reception desk went far and beyond to make our stay wonderful.We will forever be grateful to her for all of her help . Emanuel & Manuel the bartenders at the lobby were Fabulous . Pastor also helped make our stay unforgettable. The food was very good and our dining experience was fantastic. We look forward to returning soon. Everyone in the Grand Tequila was very kind.

Just had a fantastic 14 nights at this resort everything was brilliant food entertainment the various a la carte restaurants Rooms are huge and cleaned daily pools are spotless Bars are all good as are the snackbars Beach did have a lot of seaweed but staff were there daily cleaning it up Im glad i ignored the negative feedback left by previous visitors and visited as nothing there dissapointed Big mention to all the staff everyone i saw spoke had a smile and did there job superbly Will be returning same time next year

Me and my girlfriend decided to book a trip to Mexico from the UK and have just left this resort. It is safe to say we are stunned and gutted we had to leave. I will start by saying the area and the look of each of the buildings in the resort are wonderful. We got to explore all of the different parts of the resort and we loved it staying at Tequila. They have regular shuttles that run between the different parts of the resort which is always nice when it is hot! Akumal and Coba are definitely in walkable distance which is nice but definitely need a shuttle for Tulum to save the long walk but as they run continuously it really is not a worry. There is so much wildlife there too which also made our holiday. The pools at tequila are nice as well with a lovely swim up bar with lovely staff there too. Definitely the place to be when it’s hot! We went to the smokehouse on the tequila site a total of 3 times, we could not get enough of the amazing food. What’s nice about this resort is the fact you get access to buffets in Tulum, Akumal and Coba as well as the restaurant in tequila which was amazing too so it really does give you a variety. The rooms here are also amazing. When talking about the rooms we actually had a leak on one of the first nights in our room from a big thunderstorm and an enormous amount of rain. While this was a slight inconvenience it was managed wonderfully by the staff at the front desk. They quickly had us change rooms without hassle and ensured throughout our holiday our room was okay and everything was up to standard. As well as changing our room they gave us a few complimentary things too to make up for the inconvenience which was lovely. I have to say Raul at the front of the lobby was amazing, he helped us with our luggage on a number of times as well as always being so friendly and always saying hello. The staff here really are some of the most hardworking people I’ve seen. They are always happy to say hello and go out of their way to accommodate you going above and beyond to note too. We genuinely could not be happier we booked this place and would recommend it to anyone at all. This resort is a fairly party based resort but there are seperate pools if you didn’t want to get involved too which isn’t a problem. Alternatively Akumal was a bit more chilled and also has all the features that are desired and more. The evening entertainment is nice too although we would have loved to have had some go on for longer but can appreciate it gets hot for them. There is a lovely little market near by Tulum too where you can get some really nice souvenirs of your trips for good prices however be careful and always give sensible offers if you see something you like to support them. Overall our trip was faultless and we definitely will be back in the near future.
