Pension Edelweiß

Just returned from 5 days stay at the Pension Edelweiss in Breitenbach am Inn, near Kundl, Tyrol, Austria. A fantastic Pension run by Familie Sappl. Our room had an Austrian Twin Bed with a child bed, en suite shower room with hair dryer, TV, safe, plenty of wardrobe/drawer space and balcony. The breakfast was lovely with lots of choice from cereals, breads, cheese&hams, fruit, eggs, honey/marmalade/pate. It is possible to order your evening meal to eat at the Pension if you let the owners know in the morning. We ate out every evening by choice but on a couple of occasions were there to see the food served in the evenings and it looked very nice. The owners are charming and create a lovely, warm, welcoming atmosphere for guests. There is a ski room and sauna in the basement. A small bar with a TV on the ground floor. A lovely traditional wood dining room. They have created a fantastic balance of traditional Austrian wood carving and designer modern chic in their decor. The location is fantastic. We hired a car and easily got around to all the places we wanted to visit including Swarovski Kristalwelt in Wattens near Innsbruck, Mayrhofen, Alpbach, Kufstein and the Wasserwelt Swimming Pool Complex in Worgl. Get an Alpbachtal Seenland Card which is a tourist discount card for the region. It gets you many different discounts from free swimming at the Wasserwelt in Worgl to free bus rides to discounted entry on many Tyrol attractions. I would highly recommend the Pension Edelweiss for a stay in summer or winter. The Pension is freshly refurbished and looks amazing. The hosts are lovely. The food is great and plentiful. The location is fantastic. About 45 minutes from Innsbruck airport. 45 minutes from Mayrhofen. 1 hr 30 mins to Zell am See if you want to venture that far. 40 minutes to Kitzbuhel. 25 minutes to Alpbach. We ate our lunches and evening meals in several restaurants as we travelled round. All fantastic. Austrian wholesome home cooking is hard to beat! We walked round a nearby frozen lake and walked several mountain tracks. It isn't necessary to have a car to enjoy your stay here as buses and taxis are available but I would recommend a car to get the most out of your time here. We enjoyed our stay. Mum, Dad and 7 year old. We would all recommend this Pension to you for your Austrian get-away. Enjoy!

Das Hotel ist sehr persönlich. Alle sind sehr freundlich. Preis/ Leistung sehr gut. Mann fühlt sich sehr willkommen Die Zimmer sind sauber. Das Hotel ist auch für mehr als eine Nacht zu empfehlen. Die Umgebung ist super. Ich würde jederzeit noch einmal kommen.

Gute Erfahrung und schnelle Antworten mit dem Service. Zimmer war sehr rühig und angenehm. Gute Parkplatz. Very easy access to the town and convenient busstop right outside the apartment. The kitchenette was also helpful

Siamo stati una notte in questa pensione a gestione familiare. Ci ha accolto una signora molto gentile. Ambiente carino e confortevole, nello stile tipico della zona. Stanza grande con anche due divani e un angolo con la tv. La mattina al risveglio abbiamo trovato la neve che imbiancava gli alberi e le montagne circostanti. Bellissimo. Ideale per un soggiorno tranquillo in un luogo non affollato dai turisti e comunque non distante dalle mete turistiche più gettonate.
