Elaya Hotel Steinplatte

Hotel jako takový je umístěn v malé vesničce, s překrásným výhledem na hory. Pokoje jsou velké, útulné a čisté, všechny mají balkon. Součástí hotelu jsou i lázně, je k dispozici vnitřní a venkovní bazen s teplou vodou, dále je zde 6 saun, typu finská a parní kabinky, relaxační zona. Za mě super. Jídlo je fajn, vše z místních zdrojů, jen ta obsluha by potřebovala opravdu vylepšit, hodně to vázlo.

Dobrá poloha s nádherným výhledem na hory. Místnost měla velmi silnou vůni pracího prostředku. Mám další pokoj a bylo to stejné. Bazén a sauna byly příjemné a čisté a nebyly přeplněné. Snídaně a večeře byly v pořádku, ale ne víc. Jeden ze zaměstnanců na recepci byl velmi hrubý a nehostinné.

We have been to Austria 12+ times but this was the first and probably last stay for us at this hotel. We booked directly with them but struggled to get much response via email so had to phone them. Its very impressive to look at with great views and the spa facilities are great. There was me my husband and our 12 year old son. After nearly a week we became bored with the poor choice of evening meal buffet options and lack of options that our son would eat. Given the amount of families children were poorly catered for we felt. The restaurant is large but very busy in August with so many children it's a bit of a free for all and because so many children use this hotel the furnishings are very grubby I think every seat was stained. The breakfast was good. I think personally if you have a young family and aren't to worried about food options then this is for you but if you want something a bit nicer and quieter then avoid in peak times. We ended up cutting our holiday short and moved to a much nicer hotel. Sadly the hotel manager here was rather unhelpful when we approached him.

We have stayed at this hotel several times before, but this time we were very disappointed with the experience. Prices have increased significantly, while the facilities have noticeably aged. Even the playroom is affected: there is very little equipment, although the room is large and has a lot of potential. The buffet offered very few options, and that for a price of €41 per person without drinks. The pool was also quite cold, both indoors and outdoors. What was particularly annoying was that the prices for dinner at the buffet were incorrectly displayed, which led to additional costs of €30 in the end. Unfortunately, we had to bear the cost of this mistake. The discussion with the lady at the entrance about this was very unpleasant and left a bad impression. We had felt much more comfortable during our previous visits, but unfortunately, many things were not right this time.

Seems like it is a 4 star hotel, you expect modern rooms, not broken items, but thats not the worst. We booked the hotel because they advertise it with an outdoor pool with a view, we went for an anniversary. Nobody told us it will not work at all, they never asked us if we would like to reschedule neither tried to compensate us which we asked. We had to leave because we only had 2 days off from work and wanted to spend it in a warm pool outdoors which was impossible there. The inside pool is so cold we could not enter. They say they will not compensate because the inside pool worked, I dont know who would like to enter in a cold weather to a cold pool and feel like thats worth the money because thats not. Receptionists say they cant to anything for you. You can wait the manager who they can not tell you when to expect, they do not care at all how you feel there and what was your expectation for your money. We have been travelling a lot but never experienced such a shameful customer service. We left after 1 night and they made us pay for our cat another night which she never slept there as we obviously left. You think you can expect care and any type of customer service for paying guests but you cant. Dont recommend at all.
