Fresh Hotel

Staff very nice as usual, atmosphere very pleasant , but… There has been, a few years ago, refurbishment and creation of new bedrooms, a new entrance hall which has meant, at the time, a raise of 60% in the prices (although in the « old » rooms, nothing had changed which justified the change of prices). But we liked the Fresh, and came back. But this year, we have been surprised by several details : same breakfast globally, but less choice of products, even early, and no more placemats on the tables : you have breakfast directly on the formica-type table, same rooftop and same swimming pool, but no more help around, checking or behind the bar (umbrellas remained closed the whole morning , paper floating in the pool, and overview on rooftop dirty and patched parasol canopies). When we arrived, our bedside lamp bulb was broken, and birds droppings on the balcony were right in front of our noses. Neither were changed or cleaned during our stay. Tea and coffee were still there, but nothing else, and totally empty fridge, besides 2 small carton bottles of water… So a bit disapointed by small changes rather for the worse…

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Fresh hotel. We were warmly greeted by Rolland at the front desk and were upgraded to a one bedroom suite. Room 10 was extremely quiet, spacious and comfortable with a separate living area, one large bathroom with double sink and shower and a smaller 1/2 bath. Our first night we enjoyed cocktails and a tasty, light dinner at the restaurant at the top of the hotel at sunset, which as a view of the Acropolis. The Breakfast buffet was tasty and plentiful, although one morning was extremely busy and we never got our coffee. The hotel is in a convenient and safe location, the Acropolis was a one mile walk, the market area was about 1/2 mile. The Archeological Museum was about .75 miles in the opposite direction and a little edgy to walk through. We really enjoyed our stay. The staff was warm and helpful. We would recommend the Fresh Hotel and stay again.

Location was great. I was a little concerned when booking, but it ended up being perfect. I liked being outside the main tourist area since the bars, restaurants and streets stay very active and noisy late into the night so this location was just a short walk from the main areas The hotels atmosphere was adorable & great relaxing vibe, but bright & vibrant colors. Having the rooftop bar/ pool area was lovely & we enjoyed that space early evening before heading out for the evening. Our room was fabulous and spacious. We had the I think Executive suite style room - bed was great, ample space around it, nice seating area with sofa, balcony with adorable seating and plants with a slight view of the Acropolis. Price was reasonable for our room for the time of year. They were sold out, as well as other area hotels. Staff was outstanding!!!! We were not even out of our taxi yet & staff was outside to greet us & gather our luggage. Roland (I believe that was his name) checked us in. We arrived 5 hours before check in but they took our luggage, got all of our information & because we were staying for a longer duration ensured we had a great room with a great view. Roland gave us a bunch of local information & tips for navigating to give us stuff to do until our room was ready. We came back about an hour before official check in time but they got us into a room quickly. Over the next five days all staff members were attentive, helpful & always greeted us with a smile. Additionally they provided great tips and guidance. Special shout it's to George, Roland & Adriana who provided so much helpful information. This was by far one of my best stays at a hotel. Hotel was also very clean & well kept from everything that I experienced & locations that I utilized.

We chose the Greek menu instead of Italian one. For me, the standout was the mousakka and the chicken gyros. Delicious tzatziki and stuffed peppers. Very good. Good atmosphere and friendly service attentive service.

When you arrive at this hotel the reception is very pretty. The more you see of it you realise that it’s not so nice The rooms are looking very tired now. It’s is very expensive but I guess you are paying for the view of the acropolis. The balconies are a joke with only I chair to sit on a no table. Not my idea of a four star hotel, especially when you like to sit out in the morning for coffee when you wake up. The breakfast though was superb.
