Our stay at this hotel has unfortunately not met expectations. During room cleaning, a full glass of juice was accidentally knocked over on the table, which permanently damaged and stained my son's brand-new headset (worth 2,500 NOK). When we informed the reception, they declined to take responsibility and suggested the wind was at fault. We find this highly unlikely, especially since we were sitting on the balcony directly outside the room the entire time and it was a very calm day. To make matters worse, the receptionist dismissed us by stating that he knew the cleaner personally and that she would not lie, implying that we were lying about the incident. Additionally, we would like to point out that we have unfortunately found long-tailed silverfish (skjeggkre) in our room, and we also found the service from one of the waiters in the restaurant to feel somewhat unwelcoming during our visits. This was noticeable enough that even my autistic son picked up on it. We are disappointed with how these issues have been handled and expected a higher standard of service and accountability from a hotel. On a positive note, the pool area was nice

Just spent a week at this hotel and I would suggest hiring a car and doing some research before coming to stay. I have no faults at all with the hotel itself - it was very clean, beautiful grounds, plenty of entertainment for the kids being a splash park and a large swimming pool. The splash park has a big shallow bit with smaller slides and then there is 3 bigger water sides in a separate bit, this area is open 10-3. There is a crazy golf course and a ping pong table too. The main pool is full of floaties and toys, which all the kids just shared between them to play. I think people who have previously stayed have left them behind to be used, which is nice. We didn’t have breakfast in the hotel, so can’t comment on that. The restaurant in the hotel does serve a good selection of food at a decent price. If you like a bit of peace and quiet there is an adults only pool. All of the staff here are lovely, really friendly and happy to help with requests especially booking taxis. There isn’t much around the area itself, there is a restaurant across the front of the hotel called Kriti which was lovely and we ate here for tea most nights, again at a really cheap price too for what we had. There is a restaurant directly behind the hotel called Paralia which we didn’t eat at, then there is a few restaurants along the beach which is around a 10-15 minute walk away. One of them we ate at but it wasn’t very nice so didn’t go back. There is a bus stop directly outside the hotel to go into Chania (45 min bus ride), there is only 1 bus and it takes you along the coast. There is a town called platanias (20 min bus ride) which is a good night in itself, amazing restaurants and bars in a big strip. There is arcades, the beach is lovely and sandy. We only went there once as we didn’t know about it, but wish we knew sooner as we would have went here most nights. Beware the busses are always packed so standing is expected! To get to chania it cost €5 for 2 adults and children are free. To get to platanias it cost €4. We also took a trip to Limnoupolis water park, which is about a 20 minute drive away. It cost us 60 euro for 2 adults and 1 child, and we got a taxi there and back arranged by the hotel for 40 euro each way. We were there 10:00-18:00 and it was a really fun day out, I would recommend going there. There is a bigger water park about 2.5 hour bus journey away. The rooms were lovely and clean, basic but good. You got a little plug in hob, microwave, kettle, and fridge/freezer. It’s nothing fancy so I wouldn’t expect much. There is no shops unless you walk 15-20 minutes in either direction so be mindful of where you are going to pick up shopping on your way back. The shops near cost a fortune in comparison to chania/platanias.
