Myrion Beach Resort

We were here for 2 weeks beginning mid May and had great weather. The place looks really modern and is in a quiet area which we loved. The only shock was a payment request on checking in for the hotel tax of £182 GBP. The room looked great but I think we were the first to use it that year and it definitely needed airing out because of a damp concrete smell which mellowed after a few days. The air conditioning and shower pressure were tremendous... as were the exceptional breakfasts! The best we've experienced in the Mediterranean area. The pool was pleasant too, although too cold for my wife in May. Selfish smokers could easily spoil your relaxation around the pool though, but I blame them for that and not the hotel of course. A pity there isn't a no smoking area but I think getting them to stand behind the dumpster is still a ways off in Greece. The was a minor coastal road immediately ouside the hotel and the larger main coast road is about a field or two distance away beyond that...so it was super quiet. The main road had a bus service and in the summer season an addional bus service operates on the minor road passing the hotel itself too. I believe the extra summer service starts around June but it definitely started early this year halfway through our stay in May. There are two bakeries selling coffees within a short walk and half a dozen restaurants with more within a longer walk. The young staff here walk hard and were very efficient. We would love to return but can see that prices were up for next season. But that's the story everywhere nowadays.

A True 5-Star Hospitality Experience – We Can’t Wait to Return !!!! We stayed at the Myrion Beach Resort & Spa for one week in July, and our experience was absolutely fantastic! Everything was perfect from start to finish. It is truly a top-tier hotel that offers every comfort you could possibly need for the ultimate vacation. • The Room: Remarkably spacious, modern, and equipped with all the amenities. The cleanliness was exemplary, with the housekeeping team thoroughly cleaning it every single day. • The Food: Simply incredible! The buffet offered a huge variety of choices, with the food always being hot, fresh, and delicious. The desserts were a standout highlight. Additionally, the Pool Bar is an excellent spot with fantastic food options throughout the day. • The Facilities: The entire resort was spotlessly clean. The main swimming pool is huge and crystal clear, beautifully complemented by lush, green gardens that create a peaceful atmosphere. • The Location: Situated in the absolute best area of Chania. The best part is the wonderful peace and quiet surrounding the property, which is exactly what you need for a truly restful and relaxing getaway. • The Staff: Every single team member was incredibly welcoming, polite, and always eager to help us with a smile. It is rare to find a hotel that seamlessly combines such high-end amenities, pristine comfort, and genuine hospitality. We highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for an exceptional 5-star experience in Chania. We will definitely be back! Overall, this was a very good hotel, but with some issues. The rooms could do with a few tweaks and improvements, but in general are good- well sized, very comfortable bed, great shower, very clean and modern. The biggest downside was the view in the cheapest level room - your balcony is facing other balconies so there is no privacy and you have to keep the sheer curtains pulled. Regarding the rest of the hotel - there is a really nice spa which is reasonably priced. I really liked the layout, decor, and design - especially the outside/pool area. It was very quiet and chilled which was nice. However - the pool is way too cold, meaning we weren't able to use it for the entirety of the trip which was such a shame. I was also let down by the beach, it's quite gravelly and the sea isn't overly appealing. The latter isn't the fault of the hotel, but the pool really should be heated during certain months. If I was planning on staying within the hotel most days and not exploring the island, this would've been a real problem. The location is a little off the beaten track so unless you are happy to stay locally (which I'm sure many people would be), it's not ideal - and taxis were very expensive. The stand out part of the hotel was the guest services. They were consistently super responsive and super helpful - particularly Ioanna. Giving the rating one more star for this alone.

Having returned this year for a second year we were not disappointed. Beautifully kept hotel. Staff are so friendly they make you feel so very welcome. The food is amazing with so much choice, dont think I ate the same food twice now 2 weeks. Our room was beautifully kept throughout our stay with daily fresh towels and offered extra coffees tea and water every single evening. Its difficult to single out the staff as all are lovely. But for us Christina in the resturant and Dora in the evenings at the alacarte restaurant and bar stood out. Management were constantly seen in meetings at the pool bar but didnt interact with guests which was very different to last year. Im sure we will return again.

Terrible assistance from manolis the receptionist. Reserved a taxi prior, only to come and wait and then being asked to share the taxi with other couples just to accommodate the situation. If the hotel cannot reserve a taxi for their guest, then they should just say not available.
