Oros Luxury Beach Resort

We are currently here at Oros, on an AI basis, and felt I needed to leave a review, as if I had known some things, I certainly would not have booked to stay here. The hotel is nice, modern, clean, but not a 5* luxury, i have stayed at many hotels, and other than the Maldives, this is the only hotel that has nothing but water included in the mini bar, being AI you are extremely limited on food at the pool, either pizza (which are very nice but only so much pizza you can eat), cheese/bacon sandwich or a salad. Food at the buffet is always tepid, and hit & miss, again only so much pasta you can tolerate. We haven't been to al a cartes as the food did not appeal and limited choices. Drinks are very limited other than basics, even malibu is chargeable, but red Bull & cider included, which is crazy, if I had known I would have got a bottle from duty free. Beach towels are plentiful, beach is nice. Views from rooms are amazing, but do not bother with a swim up from September as it is freezing. Enquired to have a blow dry for journey home, cost €50, if needed washing €60, personally that is very expensive, spa treatments are exp but most are from my experience. Staff are friendly Overal hotel is "nice" but definitely not a 5* luxury resort, we unfortunately would not recommend or return

Oros Beach Resort is such a beautiful hotel. Wonderful place. I love Crete. We had the most wonderful time with Animator Halla. He conducted a class of Aqua Dance, Stepfit and Yoga. Wonderful classes Halla. Thank you. We will come back with friends next season.

Recently visited Crete Island and stayed at Oros Luxury Resort. We loved the hotel, the view, the amenities, food choices, really 5 star all together. What really made our experience exceptional, was the extraordinary staff of the hotel: Nick, the general manager, Nikole, Giannis, Igmatius, Prokopi at the front desk; Aristea, Giannis H. at the lounge, Ana, Jorgos at the beach area. All the employees were friendly, professional and very helpful. The service and the food at the breakfast area was really good, with many choices and great atmosphere. Our room was great, with a sea view balcony and all the amenities needed. The bed was comfortable and the room was big enough. You need a car to get out of the resort. There are some great food choices not to far from the hotel, in a driving distance. We only ate the breakfast at the hotel and had some drinks at the pool bar. Visited some great beaches around and of course Rethymno which is around 15 min drive, Chania & Heraklion are around on hour drive. We enjoyed the food everywhere we went. There were some great tavernas with fresh fish and fresh meat.

Wow a beautiful gem of a place, loved every moment of our holiday.. The luxury and the style n design is stunning n perfect, the detailing and thought to eveything is perfect, the rooms, the public areas and the restaurants n bars..everything has been thought about so well, and everywhere was immaculate.. The staff are incredibly friendly and professional and always go above and beyond ... special mentions to Angela and Dimitris in the bar for always being polite , friendly and remembering what we loved to drink... thankyou you are both amazing. Also to Georgia on meeting us everymorning n evening with her smile and welcome... To the lovely lady at breakfast ( I cant remember her name) who has been working for the owners for many years, she was again so pleasant n friendly and again remembered every morning our preference in drinks.. The family pool bar guys n girls who served us our refreshments daily with a smile n welcome.. The reception staff, very welcoming and helpful again always smiling.. to everyone who wrks at this amazing place that help to make it a special place... And to Mr Nikolaos Manolesakis the General manager, who everyday was around the hotel and has such a warm n friendly manner, that was very special to see as he complimented the hotel perfectly.
