Paralos Venus Suites

The hotel is beautiful, with a wonderful atmosphere and an excellent location. Above all, the warm welcome from the staff made the stay truly special. Whether at the reception desk, in the restaurant, at the bar, or from the housekeeping team, everyone was exceptionally kind and friendly. It is a shame that my stay was so short!

I was due to fly out on the 8th September. Due to a nation-wide issue across the UK airports (NATS), the flight was cancelled after six hours of sitting on the runway. I was distraught, as this holiday was much needed, long overdue and, reading the reviews, you can understand how much I was looking forward to it. When I contacted the hotel to enquire about moving the dates they were brilliant, honestly. The compassion, understanding, and flexibility they showed really sums up one of the hotel's true strengths - the people who work there care for their guests and will go above and beyond to ensure everyone has a good experience. I chose this hotel as it ticked all my boxes: adult only, quiet, spa facilities, good food, affordable, good flight times, availability etc. I can genuinely say that it all worked out perfectly and I was sad to leave - 7 nights just wasn't enough. So, a little on my experience with what the hotel offers: Room: I had a spacious room with a sea-view. The bed was more comfortable than I was expecting, although the mattress was starting to sag slightly. There are a range of pillows with different firmness, so it's easy to find one that feels comfortable. The black out curtains were much appreciated. The walk-in shower and sink area were spacious - although don't rely on it for cold water, it was nearly always quite warm. The room was quiet throughout, which I was grateful for. The A/C was excellent and the sunbed towel/bag a neat touch! I had a slight gripe with house-keeping on my first night as didn't get to the hotel until midnight and someone had left the balcony door slightly ajar. This meant that I had a mosquito in my room which, after a long travel day, could have been easily avoided. The hotel do provide mosquito plugs, but as they take time to fill the room, I didn't really get to sleep until 4am whilst trying to locate the intruder! Unfortunately, the attendant didn't want to kill it, so I got bitten! Other than that though, house-keeping were very good, consistent and pleasant to chat with. I appreciated them explaining how the electric panel by the door worked! Speaking on the doors - I had to put pillows down by the foot of the door at night to stop the bright outside lights from shining through at night. Perhaps the hotel could invest in some draught excluders or something to help block out this light...? (tip: city tax is paid on arrival, and won't be debited from your account beforehand - it's worth knowing, especially if you arrive late in the night and don't want some unexpected bill to pay!) Pools: I spent most of my time in the quiet pool down by my room. I loved how peaceful it was there, and could still catch the sun (although it does disappear from one side of the pool during late afternoon). It was incredibly relaxing listening to the water just lying in the calm atmosphere. Restaurant: I went half-board, which also let me experience new places for lunch. The food at the hotel is excellent and the management of it is very good. I don't wish to offend by mis-spelling their names but a special shout-out to Katerina and Padaleese (the restaurant manager), who were friendly, respectful and professional throughout. It goes back to what I said about the hotel staff - they all care! Breakfast is both à la carte and a buffet. Despite the repetition of items, I found there to be plenty of choice and had to curb myself from eating too much early in the day as it was all so delicious! Also, a special shout-out to the lady who ran the restaurant for breakfast. Unfortunately, I didn't catch her name but she was lovely and very accommodating too! Evening meals were also a set menu, but with different specials every day. I highly recommend trying the Greek fish soup (starter) and stifado (main), which were beautiful. Spa: Okay, last thing, as this is going on! I had three treatments at the Spa, and each one was relaxing, attentive and wonderful. Get a combo deal when you arrive and really make the most of the excellent service they provide. It's not often I get sad leaving a place after a week away - always feels like it's about time to go; but with Paralos Venus Suites I could have stayed at least another two weeks. I also tend to prefer trying different destinations each year, and this is the first time I can say I'd love to return to a place again. If you're after a peaceful vacation, with sunshine, great food and exceptional staff then this is the place to go. Thank you to all the staff there for making my stay so wonderful.

A very intimate hotel with exceptional services all round the team are very attentive and are happy to be of service in all areas. Compliments to the chef for the lovely food. It is an Adults only and the food is A La Carte, a very good choice and fine dining. A full selection of drinks and good value to go all inclusive The team have gone the extra mile. We had a wonderful stay in Crete and loved every minute of our holiday at Paralos Venus Suites. The hotel was beautiful, clean, and perfectly located for a relaxing getaway What really made our stay special was the staff. Everyone was so friendly, welcoming, and genuinely helpful throughout our visit. They worked hard to make sure we had everything we needed while keeping the atmosphere relaxed and easy-going. If you’re looking for a chilled, stress-free holiday with great service, lovely surroundings, and a warm, friendly team, we would definitely recommend Paralos Venus Suites.

Our stay was fantastic from start to finish. The hotel is recently renovated, beautifully done, peaceful atmosphere. The staff across the board were warm and professional, the food was excellent, and the pool area felt like a little oasis. I also had a massage with Melisa, who was kind, attentive, and really present. She made me feel comfortable and cared for. Overall, a wonderful place to relax. And I’d absolutely recommend it.
