We are currently staying at Summer Beach Hotel as a family with a 7-year-old child. Unfortunately, the accommodation conditions we have experienced are very far from what we expected from a hotel sold as 4-star accommodation. For the first three mornings of our stay we had no hot water. We repeatedly reported problems to reception, often two or three times a day. Only after numerous complaints did the hot water finally become available, but the problem continued. On the evening of August 12 the hot water disappeared again and later returned. On August 13 we came back from a day trip covered in sand and wanted to shower. When the hot-water tap was opened, no water came out at all. I washed in cold water, but this was not a reasonable option for our 7-year-old child. I went to reception, waited around 10 minutes and asked: “Do you know that there is no hot water again?” The receptionist answered: “Yes, in whole building, as each evening.” When I asked when it would be restored, I received no clear answer. We have also spoken with several other families who experienced the same water problems. Families staying in the nearby Mare complex told us they had experienced them as well. This is clearly not an isolated problem affecting one room. The air conditioning is another major issue. It worked only during our first evening and night. The following morning there was a power cut affecting the whole building for several hours. When electricity returned, our air conditioner did not start working again. We reported this repeatedly. One male member of staff, who I believe was called George, was the only person who seriously tried to help. He sent technicians to our room, but they were unable to repair the air conditioner. He later provided a standing fan, which was certainly better than spending another night with no ventilation, but it is not an equivalent replacement for the air conditioning included with the room. We were also told there would be some form of compensation or a small gift because of the problems. We never received one. Receiving another small supply of basic toiletries on the fourth day for a family of three cannot reasonably be considered compensation – toiletries are a basic hotel necessity. Our child’s sleeping arrangement was also unacceptable, as the bed provided did not have a proper mattress. We knowingly chose one of the more affordable holiday options offered to us. A lower price should still provide basic accommodation standards: reliable access to hot water, working room facilities, adequate hygiene supplies and a proper sleeping place for a child. For us, the service and accommodation provided do not come close to a reasonable 4-star standard. I am leaving this review so that families considering this hotel can make an informed decision before booking.
Servis All inclusive byl katastrofický. Minimální výběr, otřesná kvalita. V žádném případě NEDOPORUČUJI tento hotel. Fotky a podpis v žádném případě neodpovídá skutečnosti.
Nádobí špinavé, kávovar podložen dřívky , nános vápenatých usazenin, pochopila bych snad, pokud by šlo o kemp a ne o 4* hotel! Hotel odpovídá max 2* . Fotografie neodpovídají skutečnosti, recenze si nejspíš píše hotel sám.
Výborné zkušenosti , skvělý personál, lahodné a výtečné jídlo , krásná atmosféra, nádherné okolí, spoustu zábavy pro děti a rodiny i jednotlivce nebo páry, vřele doporučuji všem Čechům, Slovákům a ostatním národnostem, užijete si skvělou dovolenou na skvělém hotelu s báječnými lidmi a skvělým personálem, neváhejte a přijeďte si odpočinout k nám na týden i déle.... Super místo , super pláže, moře, a okolí
Wouldn’t say this is a 4 star would say more of a 3. We never really had any major issue with the hotel, but we did see ALOT of angry guests complaining at reception where we could see them not really getting the answers they deserved. Most of those complaints we seen were more to do with them paying for rooms that they hadn’t gotten or the hotel double booking and not offering a solution. On our first night we arrived and checked in to be told we couldn’t actually stay in the hotel that night as the door was broken so we got put in the sister hotel which is just opposite, which is fine. Except in that hotel the man who insisted on taking out suitcases for us very clearly struggled dragging and breaking my suitcase straps all against the wall. When me or my partner offered to take the suitcase off his as he clearly was struggling he refused. Mind you we offered probably 8 times in the spaces of a few minute walk. We then got into the first room and those rooms are a lot nice than the actual summer beach ones. But the bathroom door didn’t even close let alone lock. This would probably be more of an issue if you were staying there your full holiday. We checked into our room the next day for the rest of the holiday, no problems but was shocked to find it was an actual key for the door, and I thought it was quite hard to open, but not sure if that’s just me. The room for the hotel was really clean and we did get our rooms cleaned daily, so not sure why there people saying that wasn’t the case for them. We were on the top floor so it was very quiet except from some noise people slamming doors but nothing to do with hotel. There is only 1 tiny pool with about 12 sunloungers for the entire hotel and the sister hotel, so if you weren’t up early then your not getting a sun lounger which we expected but it does get RAMMED given there’s hundreds of guests wanting to go to the pool. All of the pool is pretty much shaded like no matter where you go, you only get about 2 hours of shade, which would be fine if you could move but with it being tiny and rammed it’s literally impossible. When we arrived we were given no wrist bands which I thought was strange given we were all inclusive, which was a issue a hand full of times as people serving us being the bar were questioning us saying everyone else had wrist bands so it must mean we weren’t all inclusive. And then the second from last day the bar man at the pool pretty much refused to serve my partner saying we weren’t all inclusive despite the fact he’d served us all week prior and he’d already served me and my partner multiple times that day already. Which made no sense! So obviously we had to prove we were all inclusive by pulling our booking confirmation up, I brought this up to reception and we were told we don’t need wrist bands again. The pool bar doesn’t open till 10.30 and closes at 6. After 6 there is no bar in summer beach hotel you have to leave and go to the sister one opposite, which is where you have to go on a night, there is also no entertainment at all in either of those 2 hotels. The bar man in the sister hotel who served us on a night was so friendly and couldn’t do enough to help. We never had any issues with anyone being rude at all like the other complaints say, but I can see how the 2 women behind reception can come across that way as I seen them ignoring other guests who were frustrated and needed help , and they would just ignore them speaking in Greek to each other. I do understand how power cuts can be annoying if you can’t use anything like the other complaints say, this did happen once when we were there for a short space of time. But if you’ve been to Greece before this happen quite often no matter where you go and the hotel can’t really do nothing about that. To be fair I wouldn’t take all the bad complaints too seriously as we had a pretty good stay when we’re were there for 10 nights, I wouldn’t go back but a part of that is that there’s like nothing there at all except a few shops and restaurants. However barring in mind all those people we seen complaining I do think we got pretty lucky with our stay.
