Rhodos Horizon Marina

I have just returned from an 11 night stay at this hotel. Firstly it’s the cleanest hotel I’ve stayed in , in Rhodes and I’ve been there 6 times. Staff very friendly. Special shout out to Anastasia who was a joy in the dining room. All other stuff friendly but a few sour faced I have to say. Bar staff at night brilliant guys , but during the day didn’t feel it. I had to queue every morning at 8 to get a sunbed, the doors open at 8-30. So there goes my relaxing holiday. If you don’t go early by 9-30 every bed is taken. Definitely not enough. Big problem for me was the walk into the building for drinks you had to walk back through dining hall but along the front are deck chairs with people stretching their legs right out. Excuse me I’d say every day and TRY squeeze by , floor was wet and I don’t know if this needs a risk assessment as I have a bad knee and I had to shuffle by limited space holding drinks. Take the deck chairs away have a clear path !!Or put a pool bar outside! Food I struggled but my husband was happy but for me chips mostly which I’m not used to. Entertainment well… our 11 nights a good few nights nothing whatsoever. . Telly on at fishing ? When there was entertainment a boy and girl act called Passengers on a total of 3 nights EXACT same playlist??? One way Ticket to the Moon , Flowers, Hot Stuff, It’s Raining Men lol I could sit there and say right I know what songs next. Rushing through every song !! Rock night ? Same playlist lol. My husband not a happy man that night? Atmosphere zilch now I know people want to relax but this is gods waiting room. I’m no party animal but I love the tribute acts and a bit of effort. We walked into Rhodes a lot and went down Kanada. But I’m a cat lover and I was very upset at the volume of kittens and it is a deprived area. All other hotels I’ve been you avoid all that. So I’m afraid last few days I counted down to go home. Would I return ? A flat no I’m sorry. I go on holiday to laugh sometimes dance and have a good time. Friday night no entertainment is shocking. This hotel must make a packet get in Med ents entertainment like other Rhodes hotels. Trubute acts are amazing in other hotels. But sitting there nursing a drink with piped music that’s not recognisable annoyed me. If no entertainment least give us music we recognise. I met brilliant people there and every one that left said Nah we won’t be back. YOU ARE MISSING A TRICK!!!! Bathrooms omg and the standby light for my TV lit the whole room I was up many a night trying to cover that telly with anything so I could sleep. Didn’t work. Air con wasn’t strong either.

We tried this hotel because we enjoyed the sister hotel the resort. Initially we are worried because it is a bit away from the main town. We still booked it without too much expectations . But , the service and support we had from the manager phil and the whole staff from the reception the bar and restaurant are all very good. During our stay there was a disturbance as some not sensible people made a lot of noise which nearly spoiled our good stay but the manager and staff made efforts to make our stay better. They also gave us compliments and birthday cake for my husband. stayed in a fourth-floor sea view room and, unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing. The biggest issue was the air conditioning. It rattled constantly and simply didn’t cool the room effectively, leaving it far too hot to sleep comfortably. If you’re hoping for a peaceful evening, be aware that the entertainment can be heard clearly from the sea view rooms and continues until it finishes, so don’t expect a quiet, relaxing night. The hotel itself was spotlessly clean, and the food was good, which were definite positives. However, I found the atmosphere very sterile, with little warmth or character. Combined with the busy road nearby, it never felt like the relaxing holiday environment I had hoped for. The staff were inconsistent. Some were genuinely friendly and helpful, while others came across as judgemental and quite rude, which made me feel unwelcome. The bathroom was also extremely small. I’m not a large person, yet I practically had to back into it like a horse just to use the space comfortably. Sadly, I disliked my stay so much that I chose to leave a week early, despite losing the money I’d paid. The lack of sleep, the ineffective air conditioning and the overall atmosphere left me feeling trapped rather than on holiday. Looking back, I genuinely wish I’d chosen a different hotel.

Me and my wife went here for our honeymoon for 10days The staff are extremely helpfull the hotel itself is spotless the food was amazing proper bacon for breakfast the inclusive bar actually served beer in a glass tankard the coctail menu was very very good i could even get irish coffes on it all in all an excellent place to stay oh and chold free aswell !!! Ou and as it was our honeymoon they decorated our room for when we arrived

Arrived last night and extremely happy so far yes the room is small "you don't go on holiday to stay in your room !".The balcony is a good size. The view overlooking pool and sea is good. Staff are amazing Arrived to a glass of wine and sandwiches . Breakfast service this morning had freshly fried eggs and real bacon. For an all inclusive that's not bad!. The hotel is very clean. I will update more as the week goes on
