Hotel gala was advertised as a 4 star hotel when booked and for some reason upon arrival it said everywhere it was 3 star so that was a weird thing but onto the review. Look and feel of the place- Me and my girlfriend stayed in the hotel gala for a week in Benidorm, from the outside looking in it looked like a pretty nice place. Upon entering the receptionist was very kind to us and helped us out with rooms and all that. The room was clean when we came in and looked a decent space, only issue we had was no fridge and seemed awfully small but we made do with just us. Balcony had table and chairs table was not clean but we barley on the balcony so wasn’t a major issue for us. Shower and bathroom in general was good the room even came with a red light feature that was a heat light so helped drying and also a hairdryer too. Shower and bath also accompanied the bathroom along with a decent sized sink. Bed was fairly comfy and extra pillows if needed and good closet space. Food and atmosphere- The meal times were quite strange to us, the breakfast was only 8am to 10am which didn’t seem like long enough, lunch was 1-3 (we didn’t go to lunch anyway) the snack bar was open from 12 to 6 outside which isn’t bad, then tea was at 7:30 to 9:30 which I felt was a bit late. Food in hotels as you guys reading will know is a hit or miss, the chips were delicious I’ll give the staff there due but the rest of the food bang average, pasta dried up even when just made, chicken and other meats smell good but taste wasn’t it. The atmosphere in the hotel gala was pretty poor, nothing got going till about 9:30pm which is not good and finished at midnight. Once it got going it seemed like fun karaoke, quizzes and more! Activities- With us going in October we never expected many activities to be on such as water polo and stuff but the pool was ice cold again it’s middle of October but still not great, sunbeds covered in bird poop and dirty overall, at night time normally me and the girlfriend would want to play pool or other arcade games, but if your into that this place me be wrong for you, one pool table and a 007 game and table tennis table outside but need your own stuff, so it’s not good having just one table between a hotel when much room outside. Would i recommend it- Now would I recommend this hotel, personally if your an older couple maybe 50s plus this place is for you if you like a quiet hotel, friendly enough staff, great cleaners. Then yes this place is for you! But if you like a good vibe hotel with lots of stuff to do this place is probably not for you. But I think 3 stars is a valid rating no more no less. Overall a decent hotel, friendly staff and nice view from higher floors which is always good!!

Fabulous hotel in a good position . Everywhere very clean,friendly and helpful staff at all times. Food good again all very clean and friendly restaurant.
