Gran Hotel Bali

Hotel Foyer and pool areas are great, lots of available beds, tables and parasols available. Drinks very reasonable, and large measures of spirits. Breakfast was very varied but lots of the food was cold, they did have a microwave available. No cut fresh fruit, apples and bananas were available. Self service buffet for breakfast and at times, no clean tables available. We visited the Skybar, which in my opinion was a waste of money, the drinks were all premade and there was no view of sunset, that was the other side of the building. It was quite tatty and not particularly pleasant surroundings, the barman was lovely and helpful. Everyone there had the drink that was included in the cost and left which is exactly what we did this cost us $18 each to go. The rooms with balcony was tired but large and very clean, the views amazing from the balcony. Customer services team on the desk were really friendly and helpful however when i emailed feedback on the skybar i received a really rude and abrupt response, not at all happy. Apparently the customer services manager had gone on holiday since and therefore couldnt speak to me appauling.

Beware the positive reviews from people with 1 contribution ... they are all uber positive and seem sus ... Now for an honest review. Positives The Bar area is great and most of the bar staff are very friendly. Bar prices are reasonable. Great pool areas. Lovely reception area, very impressive. The rooms are a decent value. Negatives The breakfast isn't great and the food is very cold. Though the Freshly squeezed Orange juice is great. The reception staff aren't good, and check in takes forever, you do feel like you are a nuisance. The rooms are fine but a bit tired, a kettle would be most welcome, would expect it from a so called 4 star hotel. The area of La Cala it's in is nice enough but not much to do, we did spend a fair bit of money in taxis to Benidorm old town. Overall it's ok, and not bad value for money. It's not great but it's not awful either!

Stayed here for 6 nights, the rooms are spacious and are cleaned every day. This hotel is located 2 miles from Benidorm centre, the beaches nearby are excellent. The food is average and you have to pay extra for drinks with meals, also drinks are expensive at the bar area. However across the road are some excellent cafes and restaurants that are cheap, also there is a supermarket nearby for supplies. On the whole this holiday has been enjoyable and relaxing.

Hotel entrance amazing room was out dated food was not good and it was warm so glad they had a microwave and can understand why staff in hotel looked so depressed definitely not a 4 star will not be returning complete waste of money.

Beautiful hotel but thats about it ..they care more about the appearance then anything else....reception staff are rude ...a family member hired a mobility scooter as disabled ...these are not allowed in hotel at all not even to drive around you have to park them in garage under the building where you have to wait 30 mins for the man to unlock it for you to get it or park it in got told we have to wait till the man has finished cleaning!!!leaving a disabled person to wait!!! Absolutely nothing for kids no entertainment at night either ...cant go to use the park or pool or even lie on a sun lounger till 9am they do not open the doors till this time ! No good if you have kids or want to chill....food...well the chicken is pink inside in fact they cook the outside off everything and forget it has a middle to cook ...not much selection for children at all...breakfast is the worse ..waiters hovering over you at every meal time and circling table ready to whip your plates away makes you feel rushed and uncomfortable...Juice machine is just water no matter what you choose....rooms are decent just the pillows are bad it's one long flat pillow you all share ...for a 4 star hotel it's bad will never visit again
