The room was spacious, spotlessly clean, and had a beautiful sea view. The beach is just across the road, which is very convenient. The beach itself is clean and never felt crowded. It was always easy to find available sunbeds and umbrellas. Breakfast was varied and tasty, and the hotel bar was excellent. Another big advantage is the underground parking. In summer, it's so nice not to get into a car that has been sitting in the sun. The hotel is quiet and peaceful, with a mostly adult clientele, making it an ideal place to relax. I would be happy to stay here again!

We had a wonderful stay overall. The hotel staff were absolutely fantastic. The housekeeping team, restaurant staff, and reception were all incredibly friendly, professional, and always willing to help. Their excellent service really made our holiday special. The food was delicious, with a great variety and plenty of choice every day. The only small suggestion would be to serve the food a little hotter, but otherwise it was excellent. The hotel itself is quite outdated and would benefit from a major refurbishment. While it is still comfortable to stay in, the facilities could definitely be modernised. There were two things that significantly affected our stay. Firstly, the air conditioning unit in the room was extremely noisy, making it difficult to sleep with it running at night. Secondly, the evening entertainment continued until after midnight, and because the soundproofing is very poor, the music could be heard clearly from our room. This made it difficult to get a good night’s sleep. Apart from these issues, we had a lovely holiday, and we would especially like to thank the staff for their outstanding service. They truly deserve recognition.

I stayed at Kaktus Hotel Albir for a week from 17 June 2026, travelling with Saga. I had a few concerns due to reading some negative reviews beforehand, but I honestly don't understand what some people are complaining about as my experience was all positive and I had a great holiday. I have seen some complaints about the hotel being old fashioned but, in my view, this added to its charm. It was much nicer than the bland, modern box type hotels. There is an unusual and (I think) quite beautiful circular internal staircase to all the floors, and all the rooms appear to be slightly different. This is by far the cleanest hotel I have ever visited! It was absolutely spotless everywhere. My room was large and very comfortable with lots of storage space. The food was lovely, particularly the salads. I am a vegetarian and I never had any trouble finding something nice to eat. The cleaning staff, reception staff and bar staff were all very pleasant and helpful. I only have one slight criticism and that is on several occasions I had to wait a long time in the restaurant before I was served with a drink. The drinks service was excellent for the first few days when an older man was at the door, he seemed to be in charge and directed the staff, but then a different person took over the role and it was not the same. I sometimes felt I was invisible to the waiters. It did not spoil my holiday though - I had a brilliant week there and I will definitely return to this hotel.
