SO/ Sotogrande Spa & Golf Resort Hotel

Service at Society Restaurant was excellent especially with Mercedes T and Catherine providing quality service each day of our stay. IXO and Marx are also great and delicious food options. Grounds are clean and gorgeous! However, while our room was clean, we found out very late in our stay that the air conditioner in Building 5 was broken. We checked with reception at least three times/days and were not told that the entire building air conditioner was broken. We had to get up all throughout the night to adjust the thermostat but the room never cooled sufficiently. Finally, after asking three times, Reception said they were sorry but the repair people would be there to fix it the week after the end of our visit. Reception offered to move us to another room but by that time our stay was just about over. We were disappointed in the response from staff regarding the air conditioner!!

Let me begin by saying that we planned the trip of life time by coming to the hotel and location. It was a sacrifice coming from the US and paying $500 per night, plus $500 per day in activities and meals. Only to get to our room nightly and the Air Conditioning was not working, they knew it and still did nothing to resolve the issue. Comfort is the primary goal of staying at this resort and yet that was not achieved at all. They were not accommodating and next time I would not prepay and give myself the option of going to another hotel. I strongly suggest that you get in writing how the resort will respond in the event that your stay is not comfortable.

Slow service. Not proffesional.

Everything was perfect. The staff were amazing. Nothing was too much trouble for the front of house staff.

This is the same place where SO guests have breakfast. We needed a quick dinner after poolside. Surprisingly diverse menu - Thai and Ramen amongst pastas and salads and a poke bowl.. Zucchini noodle starter was delicious. You can sit inside or out and the service was prompt. No frills dinner with family 💯.
