Barely a 3 star. Definitely not a 4. This is the worst family hotel we have ever experienced. It’s Tired, run down, hot, dirty and understaffed. We arrived at 11pm with two very tired young children. There was no one to take our suitcases to the room. While we waited in the muggy reception area they offered us an upgrade to the ‘Palm’ building for the ‘club’ with its own pool a bar serving branded drinks, snacks, icecreams with bigger rooms and some sandwiches and cans of coke! We wandered across for a look the following morning and were under impressed to say the least. Leading through a rusty gate , the paving was filthy and severely lifted which is an accident waiting to happen. The aircon hardly worked, The pool/bar area was very tired and run down. It turned out you didn’t even get the icecreams included that are in the menu, only a choice of 2 non branded ice lolly’s. We soon declined the £450 euro upgrade for 8 nights. There was no air conditioning in any of the communal areas, x3 tiny lifts to serve the whole of the sky building which we were put in. We couldn’t fit our family of 2 adults and 2 children with luggage in.so had to take two separate lifts upto the 5th floor. The area outside of the lift stunk of dirty drains. Sweltering hot throughout the hallway leading out of the lift all The way to our room. There was no aircon on floor 5 or any of the hallways. No bar open during the evening on this side to get a drink at while you wait in a HUGE queue to get a table at the one and only restaurant open in peak season! It’s ridiculous! There is only one double sided bar at the main pool which serves outdoor/indoor to the modern indoor bar with only one staff member serving the whole hotel during the day and into the evening. The main ‘wave’ pool has a big white wall which looks terrible, long overdue a paint and some Pointing in. It has algae along the bottom, chunks of paint missing and the grills around the pool edge are green with algae and filthy black stains. There are tiles missing in the pool and it generally doesn’t look Very clean. We seriously thought about leaving but with it being peak season would have struggled to find alternative accommodation or be able to sort this out with no jet 2 representatives in our hotel. We realised we had no choice but to stay so tried to see beyond all of these negatives and try and make the most of our stay We can however say that the lunch and dinner options were satisfactory. Even though the children were not able to have any icecreams unless we paid £3.50 Each (none on the menu available anyway) the bar in the main building was really comfortable with large sofas and flat screen TVs showing latest sports. The ‘games room’ Was a hot room With 2 pool Tables, there is a table tennis table Outside that’s ancient. The entertainment team are amazing! Friendly, fun and welcoming Who Make This all Easier to get through the day. Our room Appeared to have been modernised fairly recently with new mattress’s and fresh paint. The aircon In Our room Worked amazingly! So We were Always pleased to get back in Our room. The shower was great and sheets/towels and room perfectly clean. We would definitely not recommend this hotel, and actually feel too embarrassed to share any photos of us in the hotel grounds. We do not recommend Magaluf either.. Palmanova just up the road is far superior. We will be speaking to Jet 2 as soon As we get home to ask when they last came out to check the condition of this hotel as the photos are not upto date. On the jet 2 website there are different coloured parasols/sunbeds and newer clean pools. We discovered the fresco snack Bar on level One on the third day (this was kept quiet) it had the potential to be great but again, really rundown and filthy pool And lifted paving and hazard tape around some Areas.
