Very good hotel and lovely staff just a nightmare tyring to get a sun bed if your not up by 7 am don't even try to get sunbed Entertainment on a night was very good Staff very helpful will go again just not in summer holidays

Honest review of the hotel: 1. Rooms We had a Superior sea view room. The view from the balcony was lovely, beds comfy and is always cleaned well. We did have a few issues with the room, firstly the aircon is rubbish. You have to keep one key in the room so aircon will work, and even then it is barely cold. We told reception and they gave us a fan. Secondly, out of our 4 rooms, 2 of them were crawling with ants which sadly reception couldn’t get rid off. Lastly the rooms are a little outdated, not a lot of storage space, and you have to pay for a safe. 2. Food Never had any issues with the food, lots of variety and tastes good. With any buffet, most the issues came from other guests picking up food and putting it back with their hands and leaving the ice cream tube open. All the staff in the restaurant are lovely, the waiters lashes on it with cleaning and collecting empty plates so hats off to them. It’s nice having a choice between 2 buffets. We did eat at the à la carte resultant however we didn’t have the best experience and ended up leaving and eating at the buffet, staff were very rude. We waited an hour for our order to be taken, even after asking them they still didn’t take out order and just kept brining out starters. The food is the exact same in the buffet so I wouldn’t waste your time. 3.pool The hotel has 3 pools and 1 water park. We never went to the main pools as was far too busy and all sunbeds gone by 7am. We always went to the quiet pool which was perfect, it has lots of sunbeds available. We always went beach morning and pool afternoon and never had an issue getting sunbeds and you also get a nice view of the sea. If you have young kids this won’t be the pool for you as the lifeguards are very on it with the quiet part. Which although can be a little annoying it is really relaxing. 4. Night activities We went to the entertainment a few times but because we have no young children it wasn’t really suited to us. It’s still a really nice area to sit and grab a drink and play some games. The lobby bar was our favourite, really nice space which usually has performer. Staff in that bar are amazing as well. There is a few bars outside the hotel but not very lively. Porto cristo is worth a visit if you want a good night out. 5. Location There are 2 beaches outside of the hotel. Both are really pretty walks down however can be quite challenging if you are older. It’s about a 5-10 min walk to each beach. The hotel offers a free bus that picks up and drops off people from the beaches to the hotel which is amazing! There a few shops down the road. The hotel is on a hill so again can be quite challenging for people. There is a bus that picks up right outside the hotel that takes people to Porto cristo and back. 6. Reception staff are amazing Everywhere is kept really clean Tokens for drinks in the day can be a little annoying if you forget them but it’s a smart concept. Gym is big and clean. Overall I think this hotel is brilliant, especially for families with young children. If you are an adult only party and want a chill place I wouldn’t recommend.

Blau Punta Reina was absolutely amazing we had a fabulous family holiday. There was everything for the 6 Adults & 4 children of the family. The location was perfect & we used the courtesy bus to the beach which was a great service. The staff were all very helpful & friendly. I have already recommended the resort to other families & we hope to come back there again some time soon.

We have just returned from a family holiday the 3 of us, mom, dad and 10 year old boy This resort is massive! We arrived at 9.30pm after an hour transfer from palma airport. Check in was pretty quick, we was given a map of the hotel and grounds and was quickly told times of breakfast, lunch and dinner. The map wasn’t very easy to understand but I thought I would figure it out in the morning. Our room was in the main building, ground floor with a terrace. 3 beds in room which made it quite tight for space, the bathroom was huge with a shower. The shower had a flimsy shower curtain and the floor often got soaking wet due to not having a raised base on the shower. Storage was fine for 3 of us, no kettle in room and no water or refreshments in the fridge. The only other problem I found with our room was that it was directly underneath the bar and you could constantly hear chairs being dragged and moved which was quite annoying as it did disturb our sleep I’m an early riser and I was quite shocked at how early people got up to save sun beds There are 2 main pools and all sunbeds were gone by 8 am There is a separate area with kids slides and splash park but this was away from the main pools and had no bar or no entertainment which was one of the reasons we found this resort wasn’t for us The restaurant opens at 7.30am for breakfast which I thought was good due to the fact you had no drink making facilities in room The food selection was massive and you could always find something to eat I did have a problem with one of the chefs at breakfast as he was really rude Several people asked for fresh omelette to be made and he just either ignored them or told them to go around the other side of the restaurant but there was no omelettes there! On that chefs day off another man did do omelettes I think it would benefit the hotel to do a separate station for just omelettes as these are so popular Entertainment here is really good but the seats are so uncomfortable. The waiters come to your table to take your drinks orders which was a good idea except only 1 took orders so getting his attention was quite hard The surrounding area there isn’t anything close by.. a few shops a 10 minute walk away but no restaurants or bars You would have to go into Porto cristo which is a 10 minute taxi ride away but it’s not the liveliest of places I can’t really fault the resort but it just wasn’t for us.. main reasons being the as it was so large everything is spread out and you have to walk a distance to it.. we only found the games room on our last day due to the way it’s spread out. We also like the option to walk into town to eat or have a drink but you can’t do that here! So Thank you for a lovely week but it’s just not for us

Currently here, day 4 of 7. Don’t have too many negatives to be honest, maybe one major one, and the others are grumbles: Major Issue It appears you have to ask for a cocktail to have alcohol in it… which seems very dishonest. We drank some “cocktails” from the pool side bar and could tell there was no alcohol in them. We went to indoor bars and ordered the same drinks, but this time we were asked whether we wanted it with alcohol or not!? They actually have a menu with mocktails, so why would they then serve drinks from the alcoholic cocktail menu without alcohol, unless you specify it? Only reason I can think of is because they are trying to save themselves money, which is dishonest. We now ask for alcohol in every cocktail we order. Thats the one major issue; other than this it’s little things: 1- the drink cups/token process is weird and not something I’ve experienced before, but you do get used to it. They’re only used for drinks around the pool area, not at night or at the indoor bars. But it does mean you look after the cups and hand them in after everything drink, so the positive is there are not lots of drinks lying around, so the pool area is very clean and tidy. 2- no food bars around the pools, so you always have to head off to the snack bar or two other restaurants. Not a major issue, and again, it does keep the pool area nice and clean. 3- ala carte restaurant food was bland. Service was good, setting nice, but food only okay. Buffet restaurant was far superior But overall, the positives are too many to mention. Food is really good in the main buffet and Italian buffet restaurants. This is for breakfast, lunch and dinner. No grumbles at all. Our one bedroom apartment is very modern and air-conditioning is really good - make sure you leave one of your room card keys in the slots in the room to action air-con all day; friends didn’t do this and their rooms were really hot when they got in and it didn’t cool down enough to give them an enjoyable nights sleep. Pool loungers: we were down by 6.45am every morning; you could get down for 7am and still get a decent spot, but by 7.30am you’ll be pushing the chances of getting a something. Evening entertainment by the outdoor stage: actually pretty good so far. Too many times I’ve been on holiday and it’s rubbish; this isn’t. Queen tribute act were really good on the Monday. You do need to be down by 8.15pm latest to get a table in the main area though, otherwise you’re sitting down the side or on grass. Get the “train bus” into Port Cristo, not the actual bus. One bedroom apartment blocks have no lifts and three floors, so don’t choose them if you have mobility issues. No issue coming back in the future.
