Blau Punta Reina

The hotel is lovely. As soon as you walk into the modern reception you know it’s going to be good. I will start with the negatives. We had two rooms. A one bedroom apartment and we paid extra for a junior suite. The Junior suite is inferior and not worth it. The one bedroom apartment is more modern and comes with a proper separate bathroom and a kitchenette with table and chairs. Both rooms were the same size. The junior suite has a sink in the bedroom with a toilet and shower visible from the bedroom which is very strange. We questioned what you got extra with a junior suite and even reception couldn’t answer! Also both rooms had problems with Ants. There are no snack bars around the pools which is also a bit strange. The kids splash park is also quite a walk from the main pools. The positives.. Staff are great and very helpful. The restaurant is very large and well air conditioned. Food is excellent but there was no maple syrup for the pancakes! The cocktails in the main bars are much better than most all inclusive resorts. You have to pay €1 for a token to get each plastic cup for the drinks around the pools but you do get used to it. You get a new cup each time you get a drink. It meant there were no empty cups everywhere attracting bees and wasps. Overall I would return but would would stick with a normal room.

I cannot fault this hotel at all. Amazing holiday experience. All staff were lovely and all areas of the hotel are spotless - even in the height of season. It is clear that all staff take pride in the hotel and providing the best experience for guest. I booked this holiday in order to see the eclipse with my son after seeing the UK eclipse as a child back in 1999. After finding out that the island was in lockdown I was worried that we would miss the eclipse - not that I should have worried of course because the hotel opened up a viewing area and hosted an eclipse party with moon cakes, sun cocktails and mocktails for the children. The resort turned something that was already a special experience into a memory that will stay close to our hearts forever - and I just cant thank you enough. The food was perfect and clearly labelled for those with dietary requirements or allergies. The pools are clean and my son especially enjoyed the splash park and water slides. The hotel is based between two beautiful coves and has easy links to the nearby porto cristo and beyond. Of course we also have to mention the cat colony of which it is evident the staff all have a soft spot for and provide food, water and shelter for. Watching the kittens play outdoors on the grass during mealtimes became a highlight. Thank you all again and we hope to back again soon.

This is my second year coming to Blau. It is the best hotel on the island. All staff are so friendly and helpful. The entertainment team are the BEST. Rooms are clean and staff always make sure fresh towels. The food is amazing so much choice. Can’t wait to come back.

The hotel is situated between two stunning beaches. I would recommend car hire to travel to other resorts as taxis are not very reliable especially on market days. There is a free bus from the hotel to take you to the private beaches but if you’re wanting bars, shops and water sports I would recommend Cala Millor. The hotel is absolutely spotless and has a fantastic atmosphere, the staff are all fantastic, so friendly and helpful. The rooms are very clean, we stayed in a family junior suite. There wasn’t much space for clothes etc with there been 4 of us but we managed. The entertainment is great, especially the animation team who go above and beyond to make sure everyone has a fantastic holiday. Food is also very good, plenty of choice for everyone. Would highly recommend and we would definitely return.
