Caprice Vell Mari Hotel & Resort

We booked a last minute 5 day break to Caprice Vell (with Jet2) for half term with our teenage son. What a lovely hotel in a gorgeous location! All the staff were friendly and the hotel itself was very well kept and clean. Our room was cleaned every day and we were left clean towels every day, fantastic. The pool area was great, plenty of sunbeds and all in good condition. We celebrated our wedding anniversary while there and the hotel left us a gorgeous fruit platter and bottle of wine in our fridge. A lovely touch and thoroughly enjoyed. We will definitely return to this hotel again, so glad we found it in a last minute booking!

My wife, our 7-year-old daughter, and I stayed here for four days toward the end of October. We arrived late in the evening, and the wonderfully kind receptionist delayed our check-in so we could make it to dinner just 30 minutes before closing—a truly thoughtful gesture. The rooms are spacious, exceptionally clean, and set in beautiful, natural surroundings. A special shout-out to the cleaning crew; they are incredibly friendly, and their warm smiles instantly put you at ease. The dining experience was a bit hit-and-miss (this is subjective btw). While there was a great selection of seafood and local delicacies, I was disappointed to see flies landing on cold items like bread and fruit. It made me wonder how much worse the fly situation might get during the peak summer months. Overall, I'd rate it as above average. Both the indoor and outdoor pools are large and in excellent condition. However, I didn’t see any lifeguards on duty at the indoor pool, and guests were freely ignoring the "no diving" signs without any enforcement from the staff. Also, be aware that pool towels require a €10 refundable deposit, which must be paid in cash. Getting around is very convenient. There is a bus stop right outside the rear entrance (near the padel/tennis courts) with routes to nearby towns like Can Picafort and Alcúdia, plus a direct bus to central Palma and the airport. However, there were a few significant downsides: * **Gym:** Very poor. There were only a few dumbbells and three pieces of equipment that were old, rusty, and non-functional. * **Bikes:** Majorca is a cyclist's paradise, but the hotel's rental bikes were incredibly basic and old. I would seriously question their safety, as at least two bikes had broken brakes. * **Sports & Entertainment:** There is only one communal TV in the entire hotel, showing only free channels upon request. If you want to watch live sports, like Premier League matches, you have to sort it out yourself. Some rooms do have Smart TVs, so you can log into your own paid subscriptions (like DAZN) if you have them. Overall, the experience was just okay, but given the shortcomings mentioned above, I really don't think it meets the standards of a 4-star hotel. While the staff were genuinely exceptional, friendly, and always eager to help, I don't think we will be returning.

I have just returned from a seven-night all-inclusive stay at the Vell Mari Hotel & Resort, and I am pleased to say what an amazing holiday it was. Located at the quieter end of Can Picafort, it provided exactly the relaxing break I was looking for. This said a quick 15 minute walk and you're on the beachfront walk into town or enjoying the the beach front at Son Baulo (which we enjoyed daily) From check-in to check-out, the hotel staff were friendly, helpful, and consistently demonstrated a genuine can-do attitude. I genuinely could not fault either the service or the friendliness of the team. The hotel was spotlessly clean throughout, and room servicing was prompt and efficient. On several occasions, we would go to breakfast and return to find the room already cleaned and refreshed. The overall atmosphere is one of relaxed, laid-back comfort. Although there is children's entertainment, evening discos, and live shows available, it is still very easy to enjoy a peaceful and quiet stay if that is what you prefer. The rooms are spacious, well-appointed, and set within attractive three-storey blocks dotted around beautifully maintained landscaped grounds. The large outdoor pool, while a little chilly on first entering, offers varying depths that cater well for both children and adults. For those who enjoy staying active, there are on-site tennis, volleyball, padel courts (available at an additional charge), and table tennis facilities. There is also a small indoor pool, spa, and fitness room. Overall, this was one of the most relaxing hotel stays we've had in a long time. Great staff, excellent facilities, a peaceful atmosphere, and fantastic value for money. We would definitely return and would happily recommend the Vell Mari to anyone looking for a quieter base in Can Picafort.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The pools were fantastic, especially the spacious outdoor pool and the warm indoor pool. The food was excellent, with plenty of variety at breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and the bar service throughout the day was equally great. The staff were always friendly, attentive, and welcoming. We travelled with our two-year-old daughter, who absolutely loved the animation team and felt very comfortable playing with them. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and spotlessly clean, with a lovely big bed. We also loved how spacious the resort was, with several areas surrounded by trees where you could enjoy a peaceful walk. You could choose a quieter spot to relax or stay closer to the pool and enjoy the livelier atmosphere. What really made this holiday special was how relaxed we felt throughout our stay. We came home feeling genuinely rested, which is exactly what you hope for from a holiday. One of the best trips we’ve ever had as a family. Highly recommended!

Beautiful hotel in very relaxing surroundings.everywhere was clean, staff polite and friendly. We were b&b but did have a couple of evenings meals in the restaurant, good value at 20 euros each, buffet style. The pool and surroundings were well maintained and we always found a subbed when and where we chose -We were here late September/early October so the hotel was not full, I think it might be be a very different vibe at busier times. Overall stay was fantastic, thank you
