Hipotels Eurotel Punta Rotja

My wife and myself visited this hotel in July. This must be the eighth or ninth visit we have made over the past 10 or so years. I have written a couple of reviews over the years and did not intend to write another but felt compelled to do so on seeing the two recent one-star reviews from guests. I have to say there is nothing in the two reviews that we recognize from our visits (other than the slow lifts). We found the staff to be friendly and professional. The cleanliness of the hotel and pool area is outstanding. The food is both good and varied. We can only recommend the hotel - we will certainly be going back

Beautiful location — 10/10! Right beside a beautiful little beach, and there’s a bus stop directly outside with frequent buses to Cala Millor, which was really handy. The staff were fantastic overall. A couple of the staff in the evening dining room could be a little abrupt in their manner, but everyone else was lovely. All of the chefs and the staff replenishing the food were amazing — so helpful and always happy to answer questions about ingredients etc. The omelette was a particular hit! 👌 Our bedroom was cleaned every day, with fresh towels provided, and everything was kept lovely and clean. We only received water on the day of arrival, though, which brings me to probably our biggest gripe — the lack of freely available drinking water. It genuinely shocked us that in 2026 water isn’t freely available. I asked if I could have my water bottle filled and was told I could buy a bottle and fill it myself. 🤔 We ended up going across to the amazing shop opposite and buying water every day..along with snacks as it really is a fab local store with fresh fruit, the most delicious croissants, pizza,cheeses ,meats so if you plan on a trip to the beach make up a little picnic to bring with you. Even in the gym there was no drinking water, which I found really surprising, especially as the air conditioning in the gym was only about 2/10! 🥵 This was something quite a few other guests I spoke to were also surprised about. The other annoying thing was the lifts. Oh my God, they are VERY slow! 😂 There are only two lifts for a large hotel, and it gets frustrating, especially at busy times. We were on the 4th floor and regularly gave up and took the stairs, along with quite a few other guests. If stairs could be an issue for you, I’d definitely recommend asking for a lower-floor room. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely consider returning, probably for a week. For us, 11 days was just a little too long. We like to go for a walk after dinner in the evenings, and the location is a little remote for that. The evening entertainment also wasn’t really our thing, but that wasn't an issue. Overall, a lovely hotel in a beautiful location with fantastic staff. A few little things could definitely be improved, but we’d happily return for a shorter stay. 😊

Loved it here and will return. Suited us perfectly. Situated in a quiet residential area, with no other hotels around. 1 shop and 2 restaurants close by. There is a bus to Cala Millor, but we didn't go (have stayed there previously). There is a dress code at dinner. N.B. the lifts are 6 person max. We liked the proper table cloths and napkins, clean menus, big rooms and the general layout of the hotel and lovely gardens. The team who work here, do so to a high standard. After day 1 we had an email asking for feedback, and there were a couple of things to comment on, which I did. These points were taken on board by the following day, which was very encouraging. Can't wait to go back.

So many great things to say about this hotel. I honestly don't know how anyone could give this hotel a poor review. We've stayed 8 times, over 6 years and each time in a different room and they've all been of the same size and high standard. The staff are wonderful - professional but very friendly. The rooms are large with big beds which are very comfortable. The food is very good - lots of variety for breakfast (hot food cooked to order, & on the buffet yoghurt, fruit, cereal, meats, cheeses, salads, pastries, toast etc) and dinner (meat and fish cooked to order, loads of delicious salads, fruit, picky bits like olives, bread etc, vegetable dishes, pasta and a wide variety of puddings). The location is the stand-out thing really, away from the resorts but accessible by bus, taxi or little train if you want to explore. The grounds are immaculate and beautiful, wonderful views. The pool is large with several areas. There's always somewhere quiet to lounge and sunbathe. There are 3 or 4 restaurants walkable to the hotel plus a spar shop. There's a few tennis courts, a gift shop, a hairdressers and a spa in the hotel. We've been a few times and we're happy to see some upgrades this year - new loungers and some repairs to tired bits outside. Thank you especially to Luisa who learnt our names very quickly, was very professional and friendly and was very kind and concerned for me one day when I got upset after some bad news.
