Inmood Aucanada

We are currently 3 days into an 8 day stay. So far it’s been mostly a great holiday. A couple of things worth noting - room location is key. We didn’t pay the extra for a beach view and understood the quality of the view was not guaranteed but when we checked into our room and were presented with a ‘view’ of a wall directly in front of our balcony blocking any kind of view of anything we immediately asked for a room change. We said we would be happy to pay for an upgrade if necessary but we really wanted to change rooms. We were told to go back to reception on Saturday when rooms would be available and for €25 a night we would get an upgrade. So this morning we went to reception and were told there was absolutely no rooms available and to come back and try again on Monday. We have absolutely no confidence that a room will be available on Monday and believe they are just fobbing us off. Now, if we’d been told when we checked in this was as good as it gets we would have been able to manage our expectations or push a little harder for a room change as I don’t believe anyone would be happy with this rooms location or view. Unfortunately this has left a bit of a bitter taste which is a shame because the staff have all been so friendly. The food has been great (we are half board) the pool areas not too busy so everything else has been good. I do think if a room has such a non existent / restricted view they should make guests aware in the same way they do at concerts or the theatre. Avoid room 346.

This was our first experience of an adult only hotel, we travelled with our 16 year old daughter, We had an amazing 10 days! We cannot fault the hotel! The staff were all friendly, cheerful and there to help with whatever we needed, special thanks to Marcos in the restaurant area, very welcoming, attentive and professional. I have read other reviews saying the hotel Is too quiet and location is not great, for us it was perfect!! Incredibly relaxing, which is why we go on holiday, to unwind from our stressful jobs. The hotel is only 1 mile away from Alcudia, we visited frequently, there are lots of shops, bars and restaurants, also a large sandy beach and harbour. The hotel offer a complementary mini bus to Alcudia and back, this goes 4 times a day, however if the times don’t suit you, the public bus stop is almost outside the hotel and offer a very good service to Alcudia and the old town. The hotel is immaculate! The cleaning staff are constantly working, the rooms are clean, comfortable beds, amazing shower!! We were half board, the food was great, lots of choice, freshly cooked, staff very quick to take drink orders, clear plates etc. Yes the food could have been labelled better, however lots of staff to ask if we were not sure what something was! We had a wonderful holiday!!

We are nearing the end of a 2 week stay in the Inmood Aucanada hotel and can only describe our stay as perfect. If you are looking for a relaxing break then we cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. From the moment you walk through the main entrance it oozes class. The rooms are large enough for a couple and well equipped with a tv, fridge, safe and a shower you would want in your own home! The rooms are cleaned daily and towels changed on request - leave them on the bathroom floor and hey presto a fresh set arrives! The hotel is in a quiet location and we were surprised ( and pleased) by how quiet the hotel and local area was. This is not the location if you want to go clubbing!! The variety of food supplied is excellent and caters for all tastes. The dessert area lures you in unless you have a strong will - unfortunately I don’t and I’m sure this will be shown on the scales when we get home. In this review I’m saving the best until last and that is the quality, friendliness and happiness of the staff. From the room cleaners to the waiters and the guys on reception they are exceptional and made our holiday experience in Aucanada unforgettable. Hopefully we will be back next year. Enjoy!

My husband and I have just returned from the most peaceful short break at Inmood Aucanada, around a 5 minute taxi/bus ride away from the harbour and beach area in Alcudia. The rooms were on the small side but perfectly functional and contained everything we needed, including a decent shower and an extremely comfortable queen sized bed. The view from the balcony was exceptional and overlooked the sea. There were plenty of sunbeds available no matter the time of day and the pool area was clean and well maintained. There was plenty of choice at breakfast and the pool bar's club sandwiches and burgers were delicious! All members of the hotel staff we came across were welcoming, friendly and helpful - thank you!

Probably most boring hotel.we have ever been to. No entertainment, even though promised Thursday, Friday and Saturday night. Hotel in the middle of nowhere, only a very expensive supermarket and 3 expensive restaurants. Beach unusable as rocky amd concrete, beach bar closed and dirty, nowhere to put towels. Limited bus service to Alcudia and sandy beach, last bus back at 5. Friendly staff but they DON'T speak English, fine for me I practiced my Spanish. Breakfast buffet good but dinner was a guessing game the labels are not correct. Terrace bar very expensive€2.50 for 50cl water. All pools have green scum round the edges and spa needs updating as things don't work. Renovations being done so stairs blocked off which was a nightmare for my son who is scared of lifts I don't know what would happen in a fire as it is a maze trying to find your way with the stairs. Rooms clean and quite spacious but not much storage. The reception ooked our transfer back to the airport, they didn't seem to know what they were doing, there was no communication and the service was 20 minutes late. I would not recommend this hotel.
