Inmood Aucanada

Just returned from a 10 day break at the Inmood, Aucanada. In an effort to keep this a balanced review I'll start with a few negatives. None of which will stop us going back but should be mentioned nonetheless. Slight leak around shower door so placed bath mat by the leak, all good. Rooms are slightly smaller than we are used to, perhaps if we didn't take enough clothes etc to keep a small village going for a fortnight the room size wouldn't matter! There is some discolouration of the concrete around the perimeter of the lower pool area a few people seemed to think they could get rid of by rubbing with their fingers. The pool was spotless, the discolouration is caused by normal usage in an area surrounded by trees and shrubs. That's the negatives done! The positives are many. The staff were brilliant, Rodolpho, Fina, Victor, Sebastian, Javier, Merche and Jose were just lovely. Always welcomed with a smile and genuinely nice people. They work so hard and it was noticeable that although the hotel was busy there was never any shortage of staff to assist you. Sunbeds were never an issue, get to the pool for around 11am and you could find a bed easily. We were All Inclusive and we had no complaints. Never an issue to get a drink, beer/cocktail/ spirits and the food was excellent. Good selection of starters and various meat and fish dishes all cooked perfectly. Tried to give the desserts a miss when I could to help me keep my temple like body in shape but failed most nights! The location is under 10 minutes by Taxi to Port Alcudia and around the same to the Old Town. Around 10 Euros although the 323 bus runs like clockwork on the hour most of the day. The Old Town is stunning, huge selection of bars, restaurants and shops and is spotlessly clean. Will not hesitate to visit Inmmood Aucanada again. Great place!!!!!!!!!

Have to say the rooms are lovely and kept spotlessly clean. The staff are exemplary and very helpful and breakfast is excellent. However, I feel the pool area lets the hotel down: pool towels are frayed badly, sunshades are old, difficult to put up if you are short and old bases mean they are not secured properly. We saw 2 incidents when the shades flew out of their bases onto a lower level and could have caused damage or injury. Really think the pool area needs some TLC. Shame as the rest of the hotel is great.

Nice place for a short stay. The rooms are spotless, comfortable, and very well maintained. The atmosphere is calm, and the staff are friendly and welcoming. However, it’s often the small details that make the difference. During our stay, we noticed some dirty plates in the dining area, dead plants in a few locations, and occasionally overcooked meat. These are relatively minor issues, and addressing them would make an already pleasant experience even better.

We are currently 3 days into an 8 day stay. So far it’s been mostly a great holiday. A couple of things worth noting - room location is key. We didn’t pay the extra for a beach view and understood the quality of the view was not guaranteed but when we checked into our room and were presented with a ‘view’ of a wall directly in front of our balcony blocking any kind of view of anything we immediately asked for a room change. We said we would be happy to pay for an upgrade if necessary but we really wanted to change rooms. We were told to go back to reception on Saturday when rooms would be available and for €25 a night we would get an upgrade. So this morning we went to reception and were told there was absolutely no rooms available and to come back and try again on Monday. We have absolutely no confidence that a room will be available on Monday and believe they are just fobbing us off. Now, if we’d been told when we checked in this was as good as it gets we would have been able to manage our expectations or push a little harder for a room change as I don’t believe anyone would be happy with this rooms location or view. Unfortunately this has left a bit of a bitter taste which is a shame because the staff have all been so friendly. The food has been great (we are half board) the pool areas not too busy so everything else has been good. I do think if a room has such a non existent / restricted view they should make guests aware in the same way they do at concerts or the theatre. Avoid room 346.

This was our first experience of an adult only hotel, we travelled with our 16 year old daughter, We had an amazing 10 days! We cannot fault the hotel! The staff were all friendly, cheerful and there to help with whatever we needed, special thanks to Marcos in the restaurant area, very welcoming, attentive and professional. I have read other reviews saying the hotel Is too quiet and location is not great, for us it was perfect!! Incredibly relaxing, which is why we go on holiday, to unwind from our stressful jobs. The hotel is only 1 mile away from Alcudia, we visited frequently, there are lots of shops, bars and restaurants, also a large sandy beach and harbour. The hotel offer a complementary mini bus to Alcudia and back, this goes 4 times a day, however if the times don’t suit you, the public bus stop is almost outside the hotel and offer a very good service to Alcudia and the old town. The hotel is immaculate! The cleaning staff are constantly working, the rooms are clean, comfortable beds, amazing shower!! We were half board, the food was great, lots of choice, freshly cooked, staff very quick to take drink orders, clear plates etc. Yes the food could have been labelled better, however lots of staff to ask if we were not sure what something was! We had a wonderful holiday!!
