Hotel customer service upon arrival was exceptional, buffet. Breakfast was the best I’ve experienced in the country. while rooms were small they were clean. Definitely a five star resort. The beach, had a significant amount of sulphur smelling seaweed, and not as clear of water as we had hoped.

It has been our first stay in this hotel and we really enjoyed every second. There are a number of reasons for: firstly the location, very close to the wonderful beach. As part of our accomodation, we had a first row beach daybed for every day of our stay, it was really stressless. Secondly, there is fantastic staff, committed to help and to make our stay a pleasant one. From the Guest Relations Manager Anna, to the super helpful reception team of Natalja, Andreea and Jorge to the full F&B team, everyone gave his best. Really everyone. It was impressive, how the restaurant team worked in the middle of the peak season. It was perfect ! The restaurant offer was great, usual for Hyatt locations. The only thing we`d recommend is to position the Opalo Restaurant a bit more "premium". But this is complaining "on a high level". Because of our made experience, we definitely will return to this place soon.

The hotel is amazing. Superfriendly staff and I will start with the thing that is most important to me: They went out of their way and did everything possible to accomodate my daughter‘s nut allergy. Thank you so much to the Chefs, to Victor, Maria and their amazing teams for taking such good care of us. Everyone is very friendly. The rooms are like pictured, sideways sea view was worth it. They are impeccably clean. One thing that I did not like much was that everyone takes their little babies into the adult pool, but we survived that. The sea is just a few steps away. The Location is amazing as pictured. I highly recommend this hotel.

Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff and prefect location for walks along the beach and being able to dip in and out the pool and sea!

On the whole, we enjoyed our stay at this hotel, but feel there is potential for improvement. The room was clean and spacious, the housekeeping staff were always friendly and did a great job. The hotel is beautiful and on the main bus route into Alcudia and Ca’n Picafort- the bus stop is only 5 mins walk from hotel and costs about 3 euros each way. There is a fantastic little supermarket just next to the hotel which sells delicious pastries and pretty much everything you will need. Although the hotel is beautifully designed and situated on a lovely beach, we found that service from the staff in general was a bit hit and miss. One evening, we ordered a glass of cava from the bar and when it came it was in a large glass ( not a flute ) and was probably about the equivalent of half a standard flute in terms of volume. When questioned if that constituted a full glass, staff replied, ‘If you want more you will have to pay.’ Rather rude we thought! The next night we tried to order another glass, there was some heated discussion between the staff but we were eventually told they no longer serve glasses of cava. Perhaps little bottles could be served. Similarly, in the pool bar, we were allowed to order milkshakes for the first few days , then later in the week were told they don’t sell them anymore! We were never charged the same amount for the ones we did have. The sun beds around the pool were comfortable but there were never any available after 10.30am. I appreciate that we visited at the end of July, probably the busiest period, but most were reserved before breakfast and many were reserved but not used all day. I know this is common in most hotels but it is frustrating when you pay the rate charged by this hotel and can’t find a sun bed to sit on for a couple of hours. On one occasion, we asked for extra towels for the beach but were told we could only have one each- really, as a one-off?! Luckily, the beach was lovely- very shallow and sandy and we spent most of our time there, although we did have to pay for sun beds. To sum up, on the whole a good hotel but for a hotel of this calibre, the service fell a little short we felt- not up to the same standard as the Hyatts in Melbourne and Vienna where service was exceptional. The young men at Reception however (the bellboys), were outstanding- always friendly and eager to help. They should be used as an example for all the staff, I feel.
