Grand Hotel Belvédère

Amazing hotel with superb staff. In particular Katerina who looked after us at the restaurant treated us like family. We truly met a sister and a friend. Ronnie who drove us to the station gave us the best advise in exploring the Wengen area and surroundings. The staff really try their best with sincerity. We had a room with Jungfraujoch view and the room was simply amazing. We will definitely be coming back. I hope Katerina and Ronnie are still there.!!! But really all the staff there did their best for us.

Unfortunately we did not enjoy our stay at this newly renovated hotel. Our junior suite room was extremely uncomfortable- more like a corridor than a room. The bed took up the width of the room and then half way up the wall was a cupboard jutting out into the room. So on getting out of bed, I either banged my head, or stubbed my toe on the heavy wooden furniture. The bathroom had a bath and heavy shower curtains surrounding it with a shower head in the bath. Difficult to use without soaking the bathroom floor. We tried to change rooms immediately but were told this wasn’t possible so we left 2 days early, forfeiting our money. I was also disappointed by the pool which is too small to swim in outdoors and not what I’d hoped for. The restaurant was good and staff efficient but generally we were very disappointed with the hotel and won’t be returning.

Grand Hotel Belvedere is a super charming retreat in the town of Wengen and a perfect base for exploration of the Swiss Alps. The hotel has been completely modernized and renovated, but has kept a historic feel and ambiance. We stayed in Wengen five days and our best meal was at the hotel dining room.

The location what’s magical everyone should experience room 505 staff was kind an extreme resourceful. They deserve deserved their five stars.

Grand Hotel Belvedere, Wengen enjoys a stunning location and is a beautiful building, with a nice spa and small outdoor pool. The rooms are renovated, ours had a balcony with nice views. Stayed three nights. What was somehow missing was flow and flexibility from the front desk staff. The facilities are nice, and the breakfast selection and restaurant staff are great. Superb hiking trails right by the hotel. The spa hours are odd, though the hotel is friendly with pets. The rooms seem to smallish for the value and all the same...There was a language barrier, for a 5 Star perhaps what’s missing is a more visible general manager’s presence…
