Clean hotel. Excellent location opposite station. Very efficient re booking in , paperwork etc Excellent food ( self service but worked well). Desserts were amazing. Room on the small size but clean and very comfortable beds. Balcony was ridiculously tiny for us when the room was set up as a triple .

We had a wonderful 5 night stay here. We had booked the Valley View Top Superior room and it was amazing. A very large room on the corner of the building with two balconies! This worked perfectly in the heatwave as one was always shaded! The bathroom was huge and everything in the room was top quality, fabulous wooden ceilings and a superb tiled floor. The whole building was beautifully fitted out and so well thought out and designed. The location, off the main street, but only a minutes walk, was superb! So peaceful and with beautiful gardens and lovely fields behind with a family of goats! It was so beautiful and away from the very busy main road that it felt like a real haven. The free car park was an added bonus. There was a wonderful outside terrace as well as different dining areas inside, all very good. The reception area had free still and sparkling water, ice and hot drinks available 24 hours a day. A much welcomed facility. The breakfast was very good indeed, lots of options and all very fresh and well stocked. We had dinner here twice and the food was superb. They have a brilliant pizza oven and as such create amazing pizzas! There is a traditional menu too with lots of options. We enjoyed everything we had here. A final mention must be for the staff. The team here work so hard to create this perfect location. Every member of the team are friendly, kind and diligent ensuring you have the best possible time. We would return in a heartbeat and cannot thank them enough for making our stay so special.

We had booked a Staubbach room and were really hoping we would get the larger one and we did so had a fabulous comfy sofa in the room as well as the best view I have ever had staying in any hotel around the world. I am not embarrassed to say I cried a bit when we walked in the room and saw the photos that we had been looking at come to life - better than we'd hoped for. The bed was sooooooo comfy. Staff were lovely especially the waiting staff in the evening. We had some banter and laughs with them. We ate twice at the hotel in our 7 night stay and the pizzas were great and desserts were huge and lovely! Clean, perfect location, just back off the road. Loved the free tea and coffee and cold water in the reception although would have liked an English breakfast tea not just Earl Grey. This hotel really is a gem and very special. The only reasons I wouldn't give a 10 out of 10 are the pillows - we had to fold in half to get the right size pillows - its been mentioned on this site already. They were just too flat. We had spent 4 nights in Luzern before coming to this hotel and had been able to order freshly cooked eggs of our choice and bacon so to have a hotplate of eggs and bacon was a little disappointing but a bonus was the pancakes!

Everything was terrific! Great room, with breakfast and parking included. The hotel has a restaurant that opens at 6:00pm. It is recommended to make reservations as it gets filled quickly. The food was fantastic. The views from our room consisted of the Alps and waterfalls, since we had a balcony and on the front side. The value was worth the stay. Another value was the 24 hour coffee/espresso machine and both still and fizzy water in the lobby. Last but not least, the train and bus station was a 5 minute walk from the hotel.

The staff is exceptional! They were extremely pleasant, helpful, kind, and welcoming!
