Faern Arosa Altein

Arosa was perfect to cool down from the urban heat wave of this summer 2026. The hotel is located quite centrally in the "village", between the two small lakes: all the main places (train and bus stations as well as cableways) are very close, within a walking distance of max. 10 minutes. The room are small but confortable, very quite and well insulated. We were exposed to South, with a nice balcony with laying chairs from which we could enjoy the sun and the thunderstorms. The cleaning staff did an excellent job every day. We profited from discounted rates applied to celebrate the 110th anniversary of the structure: however, even with normal rates, the ratio price/quality is very good, taking into account also the excellent generous breakfast and the well furbished wellness/spa department. The restaurant on the terrasse is preparing delicious pizzas at an acceptable rate.

Dk if off season but it was very cheap for what we got. + Even after checkout they let us use all the amenities (Spa included) + Very friendly and helpful staff + Arosa Card, which lets you get free gondola ride and other activities.

We had a wonderful 3 night stay at the Hotel Altein in Arosa. The hotel offers many amenities, such as a lazy river, outdoor pool, spa and more. There was a restaurant with a beautiful view of the mountains, and a good food selection for breakfast. The highlight was coming back to the hotel each day, and going to the Wellness Center. The indoor pool has a lazy river, bubbles area jacuzzi and back massage fountain. The outdoor pool has a main pool and a jacuzzi with breathtaking views of the mountains. Overall we had a excellent stay and would definitely recommend.

Dissapointed. We arrived and the receptionist was very confused - did not expect more guest. did you just book one minut ago, he said - we said; no this morning and payed as well. The cards for lifts was not ready and it was not a very warm welcome after driving for 10 hours. Nice room with view, but also terrible headache parfume-smell everywhere, Think it is the hotelsmell or Something. The restaurant, Alpensand was a joke. The waiters forgot the orders and did not come around to the tables. Especially the lady with braids was lazy and stood with her back to the guest most of the night talking or polish glasses. the man waiter tried to keep up, but forgot orders. We saw people leave because they didn’t come around for orders, forgot or waited too Long. The smallest glasses of Wine, but extremely expensive. Food was fine and beautiful view. Breakfast did not offer Many choices, no cut fruit, but at least the service was better here.
