We felt valued guests in this lovely hotel. Spotless throughout and well appointed, the staff were friendly, professional and took pride in giving great service. The pools were crystal clear and gardens immaculate. Chefs produced a variety of tasty dishes at every service with plenty of choice for the most particular of palettes. The hotel’s location, an easily walked mile from the medina, is ideal. It’s a taxi ride to the larger shopping area in Nabeul and an interesting day trip will take in Tunis, Carthage and Sidi Bou Said. I would not hesitate to strongly recommend the Royal Azur for a holiday in Tunisia; it is without doubt a gem.

This was our 2nd visit. I remember a conversation on the bus last year, a gentleman saying, he goes to the same hotel every year because they have become family and they remember him. I didn’t believe him! How wrong I was! We tried to book a beach bungalow as we had last year. For some reason it wasn’t available. I emailed 2 weeks prior and asked if we could have an upgrade as a surprise for our anniversary. I had a lovely reply, to say if available, we could. On arrival, we were recognised by the reception staff, i was a little emotional! Then we were told we could have an upgrade, to a suite! We were blown away and very grateful. Our cases were taken, we had lunch, then went straight to our amazing room. Lofty, our server at breakfast and lunch was waving to us when we walked in the restaurant, such a lovely man and treat us so well.🥰 During the day, we went to the beach, my husband had struck up a friendship with Kareem and the other guys in the beach, last year, they remembered us. I was absolutely blown away with their kindness and service. Such genuine people. We apologise to the man who served us on an evening, we did not get his name but he was also attentive❤️ Unfortunately, we were told we couldn’t get into the Italian as was fully booked. We booked into the Tunisian restaurant on our anniversary but unfortunately I was ill ( no fault of the hotel) My husband went down to be told we had a cake for our anniversary . Such a lovely gesture. Can’t thank you enough for such a lovely, relaxing holiday. Hope to see you all next year ❤️❤️❤️

Recently returned from Tunisia, and staying at this hotel. This is an honest reflection of OUR stay. Check in was extremely poor, they were more interested in getting their tourist tax than welcoming us to the hotel. We were sent to lunch as too early for our room. We eventually were given a room and waited for over an hour for our cases....which we had to ring the reception for. BE WARNED that the wardrobe minute, more a children's size than an adults. You are unable to hang any full length garment. Also, there are NO drawers, so be prepared to live out of your suitcase for the length of your stay. Aesthetically, this hotel is beautiful and very comfortable with plenty of seating but this was in October so probable not in the height of the season. Food: typically as with all All Inclusive hotels it became samey after a few days but lots of variety although could do with being hotter. Service very good, with staff being attentive, and welcoming you into the dining room. Life guards were great although there was always a daily argument between 2 of the younger ones, which we found amusing. Bar tender at the pool bar----dear me what a miserable man he is!!! Obviously tired and wanting a rest...don't think I saw him smile once!!!! The indoor pool we were told we could use was shut, and there is a charge of approx £17.00 for 3 hours in the pool with the spa, that is advertised and one would presume was free. Evening entertainment was not the best, but if you want a relaxing holiday then you are in the right place. I would not return to this hotel as I found it to be very average and no consistency from the staff. Some were absolutely delightful and yet some were rude and arrogant.
