This was our 6th stay at this hotel (2 times under the Silence brand and 4 times as Selectum). Sadly, we have decided that this will be our last visit. Over the past three years, we have unfortunately seen the overall experience decline with each visit. Despite this, we kept returning because we genuinely liked the hotel and had many wonderful family memories here. This year, however, the final disappointments were: 1. the new policy forcing children and adults to use separate water parks. For many years, families were able to enjoy the children’s water park together safely, creating unforgettable moments with their kids. Now, children are required to use the children’s area while parents must stay in the adult water park. For a family resort, preventing parents from enjoying the water park with their own children simply doesn’t make sense. What makes this even more disappointing is that this policy was never communicated during the booking process. Had we known about this change in advance, we would have chosen a different hotel for our vacation. 2. Rooms are quite old, no investments or upgrades to rooms in last years. 3. Very poor performance of animation team or probably no animation / event team exist. Last 4 years same activities copy pasted to each week. Despite animation team headcount increased, no remarkable output. No new or good events despite 1-2 fashion shows. 4. Some cost saving measures applied in 2026: Lake house restaurant does not serve any snacks after lunch. You are forced to walk to main pool area to eat any snacks which is starting at 15:00 and nothing left at 16:00. Good variety of starters and deserts; but poor menu for main dish (almost each lunch/dinner chicken and fish, seldom meat). 5. Not enough sunbed capacity at pools and aquaparks. 6. No loyalty program or special benefits for loyal customers.
This property is in urgent need of a full renovation. Everything from the dated room furnishings and tired bathrooms to the worn-out common areas feels frozen in time and severely neglected. The main issue, however, is the severe overcrowding that makes it almost impossible to relax: * The Sunbed Scramble: If you aren't down by 6:30 AM to throw a towel on a lounger, forget about getting a spot by the pool or beach. Guests were actively arguing over sunbeds every morning. * Dining Chaos: The buffet felt like a feeding frenzy rather than a resort dining experience. You have to fight your way through long queues, wait endlessly for trays to be refilled, and hover around tables just to snag a clean spot to sit. Unless management invests in updating the facilities and caps guest capacity to manage crowd flow, I wouldn't recommend staying here if you're looking for a peaceful getaway.
We have been very pleased with everything since we arrived the cleanliness and the food in particular are truly wonderful. We came to this hotel on a friend recommendation and we are genuinely delighted with the experience. I would also like to extend a special thank you to the kids club staff they take such great care of the children.
Hello, we spent 10 days in this hotel and we are delighted with this stay. We had a pleasant time with the family and the children were very happy to have fun. We dealt with AYFER and PELIN who were present during the small problems and always found solutions for us.
Wonderful Experience at Selectum Family Resort Side We had a wonderful experience at Selectum Family Resort Side and, honestly, the hotel exceeded our expectations. From the moment we arrived until the end of our stay, everything was at a very high standard, and it was clear that a lot of attention is paid to the details. The staff deserve special praise. Everyone was extremely friendly, helpful, welcoming, and professional. Whether it was at the restaurant, bars, reception, housekeeping, or the entertainment team, we always felt that they genuinely cared about making the guests feel comfortable and happy. Their positive attitude, smiles, and attention to guests really made a difference. The cleanliness was also excellent. The hotel, rooms, restaurants, pools, and common areas were always very clean and well maintained. Our room was cleaned regularly and it was always nice to come back after spending the day at the beach or by the pool. The food was excellent. There was a huge variety of options, everything was fresh and tasty, and there was something for everyone. Every day there were different choices, so even during a longer stay, we never felt like we were eating the same things over and over again. From main dishes, salads and appetizers to desserts, fresh fruit, and different snacks throughout the day, there was always plenty to choose from. What we especially appreciated was that you never have to worry about food while you are enjoying your holiday. Even when you are outside, by the pool or at the beach, there is always something available to eat. There were snacks available by the pool as well as at the beach bar, so you don't have to worry about making it back in time for lunch or missing a meal while enjoying yourself outside. You can simply stay at the pool or beach, and whenever you get hungry, there is always somewhere nearby where you can grab something tasty to eat. This really adds to the feeling of having a completely carefree holiday – no rushing for lunch, no watching the clock, and no need to interrupt your time at the pool or beach just because it's mealtime. Everything is organized in a way that gives you plenty of food and snack options throughout the entire day, which makes the whole all-inclusive experience even better You can simply stay at the pool or beach, and whenever you get hungry, there is always somewhere nearby where you can grab something tasty to eat. When it comes to entertainment and activities, we were also very impressed. There were activities throughout the day, while the evening entertainment was fun and enjoyable. It was clear that the hotel puts a lot of effort into making sure guests have plenty to do and that everyone can find something they enjoy. The pools and the entire resort area were excellent. There was plenty of space for everyone, the atmosphere was relaxed and pleasant, and the whole resort was beautifully maintained. We also really enjoyed the beach and spending time by the sea. What we liked most is that the hotel truly creates a carefree holiday experience. You don't have to constantly think about whether something is missing or whether you need to organize anything yourself – everything is available and you can simply relax and enjoy your vacation. Overall, our stay at Selectum Family Resort Side was a wonderful experience, and we would happily return again. A big thank you to the entire team for their hard work, hospitality, and professionalism. It is clear that a lot of people behind the scenes work hard to make sure guests leave happy and with great memories. Highly recommended! Definitely a resort we would love to visit again.
