Our experience was excellent! The hotel is very well located and the service was perfect. I really recommend the Lux hotel!

One hour transfer from the airport. Private beachfront location with attentive and polite staff serving drinks and food. Welcoming and pleasant atmosphere with clean rooms, restrooms and restaurants. Food was excellent with a wide variety of choices including a range for vegetarians and gluten free. Ann Wambui, the rooms manager knew our names and took the time to have various conversations with us throughout our stay. We had a great time and would return again. From the moment we arrived, she was incredibly welcoming, attentive and helpful. Her warmth and genuine care created such a lovely atmosphere throughout the hotel, and nothing ever seemed too much trouble. This was also very evident in her team. It really demonstrated great leadership. Everyone of her team members focused on the keeping the guests happy and looked like they really enjoyed working at the hotel. A special thank you for going out of your way to find some hair straighteners for my wife and for making sure our rooms were together throughout our stay. It’s those thoughtful little touches that really make a difference and are so appreciated. I sincerely hope your senior management recognise the hard work, dedication and passion you put into your role. You are a real credit to the hotel and the LUX* brand, and it’s people like you who make guests want to return. This is why we chose the Lux brand again after such a lovely time at your Mauritius LUX Grand Baie previously. We have thoroughly enjoyed our time here and look forward to seeing you again. I honestly cannot praise LUX* Marijani Zanzibar enough. It is genuinely one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at, and the entire experience was absolutely incredible from start to finish. What makes this hotel so special is the attention to detail. It’s all the little things, from the beautiful surroundings to thoughtful touches like the Wish Tree, that make your stay feel even more memorable and personal. A very special mention has to go to Rooma, the resort manager, who was genuinely one of the kindest and most welcoming people we have ever met. She went above and beyond to make sure our experience was the best it could possibly be. She was always around, checking in with guests, making sure everyone was enjoying themselves and asking if there was anything she could do to make their stay even better. You can really tell how much she cares about the guests and the resort, and that made such a difference to our experience. The food was absolutely amazing, and the service was just as exceptional. Every single waiter and member of staff we interacted with was so lovely, friendly and easy to talk to. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble, and everyone made us feel so welcome and comfortable throughout our stay. And the beach! Honestly, one of the cleanest and most beautiful beaches we have ever visited. Everything was so well maintained, and the whole resort was just stunning. What really sets LUX* Marijani apart is the people. Beautiful hotels can be found anywhere, but it’s the warmth, kindness and genuine hospitality of the staff that make a place unforgettable. We left with such wonderful memories and would absolutely love to return one day. Thank you to Rooma and the entire LUX Marijani team for making our stay so special!
