Positives -layout was lovely. Individual “villas” with 4 rooms made it quite intimate and being a smaller resort it was very nice. Deluxe room was more than adequate, plenty big enough and comfortable and quiet. Mine overlooked the endemic forest which was lovely. Staff exceptionally polite from gardeners up and nice touch was fresh fruit skewers and occasionally a lady cleaning your sunglasses on the beach. Downsides are that service could be either very good or a bit “pole, pole” particularly on the beach when you could wait ages for a drink. Additionally when it rains there is nowhere to go apart form your room. The biggest let down was the all inclusive buffet which was a bit “blah” everything was in food warmers which meant it was dry and unispiring -lamb should be pink and juicy not dry as the Sahara but on the other hand bbq prawns should be cooked and not semi raw! Also anything not covered had flies all over it which is not acceptable for an alleged 5* hotel. Having stayed in 5* hotels in the U.A.E, Qatar and Mauritius then I expected better….

Our vacation is done while we still wanted to keep enjoying.This lux marijani zanzibar is like a paradise with its beautiful view nice garden good beach huge and clean Swimmingpool delicious Forodhani Dinner and spotless rooms which decorated every day But all in all we püt off our hut to David with his unique welcoming smiling daily with golden smile making good cocktails he is smart with good english flöw he made our vacation Special and we say lux marijani we will back and back and back again and again.

Very nicely done resort in a quiet part of Zanzibar. Clean beach. Very helpful and friendly staff. Well appointed rooms. Great food. About 1.5 hrs to the airport. Food was served buffet style and plenty of options. The only negative was that the room did not cool well and we had to request a fan. Otherwise no issues at all. I would highly recommend this resort.

Beautiful resort and excellent food We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The resort is beautifully maintained, surrounded by lush tropical greenery, and the food was consistently excellent. A wonderful place to relax and enjoy Zanzibar.
