This is a place that I diced to called happiness… We’ve traveled to many countries and had all sorts of experiences, but what really stood out to me here was the joy with the staffs bring to us ❤️ they attend to each of us the same —it’s completely natural, never forced. You can tell how much they love working here and how grateful they are! The service is consistently excelente, the housekeeping staff, too—everything else is handled with great care and attention to all details 👏 The views from the rooms, whether facing the beach or the gardens❤️❤️! The gardens here are beautiful—truly breathtaking for nature lovers! Definitely a place to return to!

Fantastic 8 day trip with another couple. Things we really liked: - beautiful architecture and lush grounds - very clean rooms and property - comfortable beds - the pool! with a gorgeous view of the ocean. - complimentary Infused water by the expansive pool - sunglass cleaning at the pool - Beach movie night with popcorn - tropical fruit at the great breakfast buffet - Amazing dinner buffet that changed every night with different themes - offering of daily activities (yoga, stretching, acqua aerobics, village walks, demonstrations, etc) - the beach, clear water, sand bars, and seaweed farms - snorkeling trip - phenomenal staff (personal, friendly, accommodating, beautiful smiles) - the intimate size of the hotel... not to big and not too small. - The diversity of the clintele: young families, newlyweds, retirees, different countries - Complimentary beach bag Things we thing we didnt like We were hard pressed to name anything.... but if there is one small issue...it's that the location is a bit far from other tourist areas in zanzibar (e.g. Nungwi, stone town, etc), requiring a long drive for most excursions. but truly it didn't matter. We were very happy resting at the hotel, participating in the daily activities and eating great food.

Location is perfect. Atmosphere was too gorgeous and relaxed. Rooms are beautiful and clean. Nothing was an issue. Staff were always present and attentive.

I never write reviews, but I am compelled to write this one. This resort effortlessly redefines quiet luxury, with its breathtaking Arab-meets-Swahili architecture, lush tropical grounds, beautiful beach and an undeniable "island chic" vibe. The rooms were large and well appointed and the hotel gardens were beautifully kept. At every point the staff at the LUX Marijana made us feel special, there was always someone available to help and the open air silent cinema evening under the stars was exceptional. The only negative? Having to pack our bags and leave! Checking out was genuinely the hardest part of our entire holiday. We wish we could have stayed forever!
