The Neela Boutique Hotel Stone Town

The staff here are charming - left such a good impression. We loved the turn down service especially the snacks! I’d recommend a room on a higher floor however there is no lift so bear this in mind. We stayed in 2 different rooms as we stayed for 2 nights before going on safari then came back for 1 further night - both rooms were spacious with comfortable beds and very good well positioned aircon. The room had complimentary beers which were well received. Breakfast in the adjoining cafe was outstanding - the à la carte options we tried were amazing. Hotel is a great safe haven from the hawkers and worth the price!

The very welcoming & friendly staff were excellent. Our room was well laid out an equipped & the location perfect even without a view. Meals were all delicious and service outstanding. Would highly recommend.

My stay at the Neela Boutique Hotel in Stone Town was one of those experiences. The WiFi was fast and reliable. The staff were warm, attentive and genuinely passionate about hospitality. The food was exceptional throughout my stay. The rooms were beautifully designed, with thoughtful touches everywhere you looked. The plugs were exactly where you needed them, the water pressure was perfect, the hot water was always hot, the amenities were just right, and the in-room coffee and treats were a delight. It is clear that nothing has been left to chance. A special mention must go to Lance, whose hands-on leadership is evident throughout the property. Dynamic, engaged and an absolute perfectionist, he has created a hotel where every detail matters and every guest feels valued. The cherry on top was the dhow boat experience. Led by the hotel’s own captain and crew, it was simply outstanding. Whether you have an hour to spare or an entire day, book it. It is an experience not to be missed and one of the highlights of my time in Zanzibar. Thank you to the entire team at Neela Boutique Hotel. The hotel is amazing, the food, amenities and location work well for visiting Stone Town. The Manager, Launce has an amazing team and they work hard to make you feel at home. This is a must return property

We spent 2 nights in this beautiful little hotel and enjoyed every minute of it. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, the food (breakfast and dinner) really special and delicious- try the parachichi in the morning and seafood curry in the evening. We liked the interior design very much- modern with an African touch - and the complementary dhow cruise with drinks and snacks on board. The hotel is situated in the old town, in walking distance to all the interesting places to see.
