Marbella Beach

♥️ Great location, reasonable price. Friendly and helpful to solutions staff. We enjoyed our stay. Rooms were big enough and very cleaned. One of our family had a birthday, they organised beautiful birthday cake for us, appreciated a lot. Beach with sunbeds for every one, September is perfect for relaxing vacations. Highly recommend.

Love this place. This is the second time we have been to cozy MARBELLA. Everything is just perfect, the large room, the tasty meals always fresh, our congratulations to the chefs. More special is the fellow great staff, been there the same as last year, even they remember our names. The private beach clean, free umbrellas and sunbeds. The hotel is a good + 4 star hotel with beautiful people running. Definitely coming back for next year.

I would rate this hotel more as a 3 star. We paid for the upgraded room, it wasn’t particularly clean, there was no mini-bar as advertised, and I don’t know it just lacked something. Upon arrival we were upgraded from B&B to breakfast and dinner which was a nice gesture. But the food was below average with a very strange selection – dry and bland to the point that we didn’t even bother going in for breakfast. (We did, however, find an amazing little bakery just a short walk down the road – turn left as you leave the hotel. They sold the biggest and most delicious filled croissants). The staff were friendly, but often looked at us as though we’d lost the plot. For example when we wanted a drink from the bar to have by the pool, they seemed shocked. And even asked if we knew we would have to pay for it? Sunbeds were impossible to secure either by the pool or on the so-called ‘private beach’. One morning I got up at 5.30 and wandered down – there were only six beds to choose from. There’s no point in paying extra for a “beach view” because you don’t actually get one. Instead, you’ll be looking out over the pool and the fairground rides, which sit between the hotel and the beach – a complete surprise to us, as it’s not something we expected. The “beach view” rooms are simply closer to the incredibly noisy neighbours. The hotel next door was unbelievably loud. In fact, all of Golem at night was noisy – the later it got, the louder it seemed to become. The party in the neighbouring hotel started around 9.30pm and went on until at least 2am. I have genuinely never heard noise like it I have no idea how we ever got to sleep. During the day, as the hotel is set back from the beach a little, it was fairly quiet. The hotel itself offered no evening entertainment during our stay. The beach was very crowded, and Golem in general felt extremely busy. Would we visit again? Probably not. Did we have a fantastic time despite this not-so-positive review? ABSOLUTELY!

Very clean, 1 minute walk from the beach, pool was super clean. The hotel personnel works hard and will do anything to make everyone happy. The food choice is huge, I don't think anyone can say that there was nothing they liked. The cleaning lady even washed some clothes for us.

We stayed at Marbella Beach Hotel Golem for 4 nights in September 2025. Room 307 on 2nd floor with balcony is large, spacious, comfortable and clean. Ensuite bathroom is small with wetroom style shower. Water pressure is good but slow to drain away. Staff are nice and most speak good English. Hotel pool is nice. Drinks are available by the pool but not lunch/snacks, only Breakfast and evening meals. Air-conditioning didn't really work. Toilet seat broken. Breakfast was ok. Beach is very close by with lots of free sun lounges. There is a promenade with restaurants and bars. Food and drinks are very cheap. That's all there really is to Golem and it's generally not a clean town. We would not stay here again. Nearby Durres is a lovely modern clean city.
