Iberostar Slavija

My mother and I spent our holiday at Iberostar Waves Slavija, and we left with nothing but wonderful memories and a deep sense of gratitude. We truly enjoyed every moment of our stay. What impressed us most was the exceptional staff. Everyone was kind, attentive, welcoming and genuinely willing to help. You can feel when people are doing their work with their hearts, and that was very much the feeling we had here. I would especially like to mention Suzana at the reception. She was incredibly warm, helpful and attentive, and made us feel welcome from the very beginning. She is a wonderful representative of the hotel and someone we will remember fondly. I would also like to give special recognition to Milan, one of the very young members of the restaurant team. He made a particularly strong impression on me. There was something very special about his manner — his kindness, dignity, respect and sincere pride in his country. He is a true young Montenegrin, carrying himself with dignity and showing genuine love for Montenegro. Meeting someone so young with such warmth and character was truly touching. I sincerely wish him every success in the future. And then there is the food! The cuisine at the hotel was, without exaggeration, the best we experienced during our entire stay on the Budva coast. We tried quite a few restaurants during our holiday, but the food at Iberostar Waves Slavija was our absolute favourite. Everything was delicious, fresh and beautifully prepared. We came to Montenegro for a holiday, but we are leaving with something more — wonderful memories of the people we met, the kindness we received, the delicious food and the warm atmosphere of this hotel. Beautiful hotel and friendly staff. Great location and views. Fantastic breakfast. Only thing we could pick on was the shower water temperature went from hot to cold to hot to cold the entire time.

We wanted somewhere different and special for our Silver Wedding anniversary and chose Iberostar Waves Slavija, Budva from our travel agent suggestions. Hotel was amazing and location was a good base to explore the area. Would highly recommend this hotel for anyone wanting to visit Montenegro.

A very nice hotel with exceptionally efficient staff. The atmosphere was prime and the facilities were definitely 5 stars. We were checked in by the lovely Suzanna. She made my wife and I feel very special. She was attentive and conscientious. She took great care to explain the hotel's facilities. She was very friendly. She is a natural host. We were given a sea view room (for an additional fee) without fuss or delay. This undoubtedly enhanced our experience of Budva. The spa and rooftop infinity pool area was clean and well staffed. Excellent world class facilities. I would recommend this hotel and would return in a heartbeat 💓

The hotel is good as are the majority of the staff, bar the Guest Relation Manager, Ksenija. On our last day of our trip we were told the rooftop area and pool would be closing in 15 minutes at 3pm. When we enquired as to why we were informed about a private event that we had been told about via a letter in our rooms two days prior. This letter never arrived in our room or other guests' rooms. The guest relation manager was rude and dismissive when we raised the matter with her and was unwilling to offer an agreeable form of compensation let alone a sincere apology. It very much felt that the needs of their paying guests were put after the needs of the private event clients. The music from the event went on until 1.30am and could be heard throughout the hotel. It was a very unpleasant and unnecessary end to a lovely holiday.
